I'm not sure when you got hired..(1920?) but I work at Publix, and they definitely did not make us watch this video. They made us watch a lot of dumb stuff, but not this.
Good, then they have updated the videos, I know this 1 and the older customer 1 were used into the late 90's at least.. I saw them quite a few times on break when somebody else was being trained..
yeah, they pretty much own Florida. Even Walmart can't shake 'em up. They practically build Publix stores right on top of one another to try to squeeze out competition.
05:55 yeah and don't let Hellen Keller shop for produce alone. Seriously lady, didn't you see the man drop a dozen eggs? didn't you hear him? how much valium did you take??
I think there's a greater philosophical meaning behind this. Maybe the explosion is symbolism for the lawsuit that follows the fall, but the abrupt stop of the sound is actually the case being settled.
The new one Is bagsley with a combination of "A Mythbusters Spoof" Boring as hell but they paid you to train so...

These videos actually looks like the're from 1960 or 1970 in my opinion. I watched the video with the talking bag

If I ever own a business, and I hope I do some day, I now know to keep hobos and clowns out. Thanks! You may have saved my ass... :)

As a shopper I find Publix to be a well-run place, but this training film looks like it was pulled from the 'Krusty the Clown' show.

This is absolutely horrific. Employee training videos are like car accidents on the highway; you don't want to look, but you can't look away..
