  • I used to be a vegetarian like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee...

  • thankyou so much for posting this video! i have been vegetarian since october 2011 now, but i still eat jelly :( but i will stop

  • I have nothing against Vegetarians. But, I seriously don't care that those animals are dying. I like how they taste. I love how dead animal corpses taste. >:)

  • @xbox360674 Isn't "not forcing others to be vegetarian" basically a synonym for looking away? The people who fought against the german nazi regime during WW2 are mostly considered heroes today, while the ones simply living with the situation although they didn't agree were merely followers.

It's a complicated topic, but I tend to think that "forcing" vegetarianism is actually necessary. But then again, that's what religious extremists think, too... and I certainly don't agree with them. :D

  • Can you pleas explain to me why eating free ranch and organic meat makes you fat. I don't see the connection or support/research for this!

  • Meat makes us sick!

There is a relationship between animal protein and heart disease. For example, plasma apolioprotein B is positively associated with animal-protein intake and inversely associated (lowered) with vegetable-protein intake (e.g., legumes and greens). Apolioprotein B levels correlate strongly with coronary heart disease. Unknown to many is that animal proteins have a significant effect on raising cholesterol levels, while plant protein lowers it.

  • Reasons: 1) I don't care, meat tastes good 2) I don't care, meat tastes good 3) I don't care, meat tastes good 4) I don't care, meat tastes good 5) I don't care, the meat, still tastes good 6) I don't care, meat tastes good 7) Too bad, too sad 8) Nothing wrong with inferior species being dominated by superior species 9) Good thing we have Viagra 10) So is 21st century medicine 11) I don't care, meat tastes good 12) I don't care, meat tastes good 13) refer to # 8 14) BULLSHIT!!
  • @Tommy9834 15) Good thing we have modern science to solve that problem.

    16) Well I don't call myself an environmentalist

    17) I don't care, meat tastes good

    18-end) I don't care, meat tastes good

  • 1:40 humans dont kill animals for taste just sayin.

  • i want a steak now, a mooing steak!

  • I want to be a vegetarian, but I grew up eating meat, so it's not as easy as people may think. If I could snap my fingers and stop eating meat, I WOULD!!!

Please give me vegetarian recipes to help me start?

  • Vegetarians are pretentious, smug assholes. They are the biggest pussies on earth. Oh boo-hoo, we killed an animal to eat meat. I guess the vagina-tarians (pussies) must hate lions, tigers, panthers, bears, cheetahs, lepords, snakes, alligators, and thousands of other animals too, since they all kill other animals to eat meat too. Fucking vegetarians, I wish I could eat one of them, bet they would taste like what they are, a pussy.

  • Yeah bunch of jerks keep eating your i steak and get fat !! get a heart disease and die !! while I'm still alive eating my Yummy fresh healthy vegetables :)

WTF I love vegetables there is nothing wrong with that !! :)

  • @Hellooliss

    Oh your full of shit.

Plenty of people eat meat and are completely healthy with no problems. The problem with you Vegans is that you think your idea is the only way someone should go and they don't agree they are cavemen.

All you super vegans are a bunch of piss ant smug douchy bleed heart liberals who rather save the life of a cow than another human being

  • @dawgfan24348 Firs of all I'm not full of shit ! secondly I was being Sarcastic , I really don't care if people eat meat or not as long is not me ! I don't push my belief on others ! and just to let you now the life of an animal is just important as a human being life some people abuse animals and that is wrong ! have a nice day !

  • @Hellooliss

Oh because sarcasm is so easy to detect on the internet. It sounded to me like you were acting like you were one of those PETA NAZIs forcing the beliefs on everybody.

  • @dawgfan24348 lol I know internet cant show sarcasm but anyway

I have been vegetarian for 8 years and I never force my beliefs or my lifestyle on anyone if someone ask me why or want to know more about it I m glad to share and help someone that wants to be vegetarian . ! in fact my husband eat meat ! so yeah I don't have problems with meat eaters but yeah I have problems with people who abuse animals , people never will stop eating meat I'm aware of that .

  • oh get the fuck over yourself.... ugh..... ima go eat a burger....

  • not eating meat is unnatural you condescending pretentious assholes, so i am going to eat big lovely steaks for my entire life while you chew on lettuce!

  • real men eat meat

  • @lossev Cavemen.

  • i tried becoming a vegetarian for like 2 hours but then i decided i like vaginas!

  • want to know a point of view, humans are the biggest disease, self sustained by ignorance and comfort. each of us only lives in our little bubble and see nor live beyond it. We choose the blind easy ways. We are simply one step away from being those pigs whose throats are cut and left to struggle and gasp at their life. Blame it on the nature of life. Authorities, education, religion, all structured to mechanise you so you can turn the wheel until you have no choice. Are you truely living

  • it would be so hard for me to give up chicken and turkey..

any ideas on what i can do??

  • @shiningoceans Don't force yourself to stop eating everything suddenly, that can get you sick. Start by getting ready, then reduce, reduce, until you know you are one.

  • Science and understanding is relative to what is known at the time. plants don't have a nervous system therefor can not feel. at one time humans didn't know about the nervous system, or how to Gage it, or understand it.Who knows what will be understood tomorrow, maybe they feel thru a different method we don't "see" yet..theres rays of light we can not see with the naked eye but we know exist...Now..but that cant be right, what am i saying..we know EVERYTHING and understand EVERYTHING don't we.

  • IT MAKES YOU FAT? that is complete bullshit! a vegetarian diet doesn't make everyone skinnier than a meat eater. it all depends on your metabolism, and everyone is different. they are quite pathetic if they have to call people fat to make a point. the only reason they put that in is to make people insecure about themselves. it's idiots like this who make teenage girls starve themselves to be skinny. i have been a vegetarian for 5 years, and i can do just fine without harassing people.

  • totalllllyyyyyyyyy stupid

  • totalllllyyyyyyyyy stupid

  • This is basically the deciding factor that made me go vegetarian. (:

  • ...pure stupidity.

  • fking liberals trying to force their ways on normal working people

  • do you remember the 6 qualities that specify living things

Living things are made of cells.

Living things obtain and use energy.

    Living things grow and develop.

    Living things reproduce.

Living things respond to their environment.

Living things adapt to their environment

So plants are technically, alive, so if you eat a raw carrot, your eating a live organism. but since you cant "see" its pain its assumed it has none.

  • @martymasic

Obviously you didn't stick around for the systems.

Plants don't have a nervous system - therefore cannot feel pain.

  • @martymasic Plants are not technically alive, they ARE alive. However, they are not sentient beings, and that is the argument here.

  • This is BEYOND retarded.

Eventually IF everyone on earth would go vegetarian what would we be eating? Tofu and Beans? Do you know how much power it takes to run a soybean plant to make the tofu, not to mention the pollution it creates.

    More Tofu=More Pollution

    More Pollution=Dead Animals

The Animals will die regardless. Why not enjoy them?

PS. Crop frost. Drought. Hurricanes. Tornadoes.

  • We have over 33% of the world starving, and you think we should all stop eating a huge portion of the food available to us for some stupid reasons? Are we all gonna start eating synthetic shit? What happens when there is a frost or natural disaster and the years crops die? Fucking idiot. We don't have an abundance of food, we have an abundance of people. Only when its the other way around can we even consider this.

  • @WildNice, why, you didn't know that?

  • eating fish doesn't make you a vegetarian? I was with this video till that part.

  • This video made me cry! Animals eat animals... but we are human.. we can think ! We love our families and we can communicate and we are intelligent! why compare our-selfs to animals and say "Animals eat animals so we can eat too! " Be HUMAN and let not take lives for our taste buds... the reasons are unnecessary ..Imagine how it feels when some one kills our pets or family and deep fry it and eat it before us! we can go HUMAN and spare millions of lives ! Stop meat (read as Save Lives)

  • I love this video, because of it i became a Vegetarian 4 years ago, soon to be 5 years. And Now i becomining Vegan

  • Poor show

  • I'm a vegetarian and I'm very proud of it.

  • You shouldn't be

  • I am. :D

  • i feel sorry for u unfortunate people who do not understand such a simple message...god save u guys coz clearly u guys cant help urselves!

  • human brain wolde newer

  • Im going on a vegetarian diet, But is it ok to eat meat once in a while?

  • @LimeCrayonify if you eat it once in awhile does not make you a vegetarian. meat kills you cant sometimes eat it just like you cant eat plastic

  • If meat causes impotence the world's population would have been somewhere in millions

  • thats sad to see animals suffer like that. the 2 I didn't like was the pigs hanging from their legs and the little baby bird (chicken I don't know) getting its neck snaped. I'm a meat eater as well but I did not enjoy seeing those animals suffer. I don't eat alot of meat I mostly eat salads, fruits, and vegetables.

  • Bloody? Poop? Makes me FAT?

OMG! I'M GONNA GO VEGEMATARIANANANAN NOW! AND ALL OF YOUTUBEZ SHUD DO DA SAME! OR ELSE THEY'LL DIE! IT'S INHUMANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    No.

Food guide pyramid, read it thoroughly please. TY

Though, I wouldn't mind less "gruesome" methods of killing. I can't say how many places do it that bad, or if the meat I eat comes from a place like that either. I support it, to an extent. So get outta my face pls, ty.

  • @jdills1196 now the animal is talking!

  • lol it was a joke ;) I'm not as much of a douche as I used to be.

  • @supremeEducator75 was my backup... XD

  • This is pathetic. They are literally scraping the bottom of the barrel for excuses of why people shouldn't eat meat. Because meat and dairy make you fat? Oh dear, fat you say? Eating a portion of meat and dairy isn't going to turn you into a heifer. It's about moderation, not of substance. Idiots.

  • @TheOmegaParadigm

Actually meat and dairy does make you fat, Im a biology major and I did a study on a vegetarian diet compared to a normal western diet, and it was scientifical proven that meat eaters are 3 times heavier than vegeatarians, I also studied hearts of both and the meat eater had alot more clogged artieries than the vegetarian. Study your facts before you claim to know something.

  • Excuse me? When did I claim meat and dairy didn't make you fat? I said that eating a mere morsel of meat and dairy won't turn one into an overweight behemoth, while stating that if one doesn't use moderation, they will become overweight. You don't have to be a biology major to figure out that the proteins and compounds found in meat and dairy products leads to a build up of fatty tissue in the human body. Are you sure your major isn't in Obvious Studies? Read what I said before, then reply.

  • Are Stupid or What DONT GIVE FUCK ABOUT FOOD WTF!!!! ARE YOU Living for food ? Eat vegetables and meat and Fuck this bullshit

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    tastey tastey meat soooooo delicious

and so shouldnt have to make a living killing animals really? youd rather he have no job with and a family starving ok coolio julio uhm meat doesnt make you fat being unactive and eating unecessary carbs and calories makes you fat. i happen to love my meat bloody :) and meat isnt filthy its cleaned quite a far bit. last time i checkd animals arent defenless and animals eat animals too its call the food chain its part of life !

  • mmmmmmmm all this killing made me hungery. Stop feeling guilty and stop making cows and chickens out to be humans

  • this is ridiculous. nobody should be pressured to be a vegatarian. Those clips of farrming is all factory farming. If you really wanna help all you have to do is go free range. eat your meat if you want.

  • this video made me cry.

even if you eat meat, can you see the cruelty used to slaughter animals?

there are slightly more humane methods of slaughter (oxymoron) like the CAK method, where the animal feels no pain.

continue to eat meat if you must, but push for more humane and clean ways of slaughter for the sake of the animals and the consumers who eat animal products.

  • u think vegetables dont have poop?..wat a retarded reason!!..ever heard of the E COLI in unwashed lettuce at taco bell?...or the salmonella in the cowdung that is as fertilizer??...stop making us feel bad for eating meat... we are eating animals... that wud spread more diseases if we stop taking care of them...even for our own use.and start eating vegetables... which means more farms...and less housing.. trees produce oxygen and animals methane!.still think u ehlp the environment?.propogandists

  • @sunlitekid01 you're just this stupid that I can't stop laughing.....lol

  • No. We are not omnivores. It has never been proven either way, whether we are omnivores or herbivores. However, there is a lot more evidence to suggest that we are herbivores. A lot more. And so to your point about bears. That is natural behaviour for a bear. I see nothing wrong with a bear killing an animal in the wild and it eating it for natural survival. But this is quite different to the way we give animals a life of pain and misery before killing them.

  • many animals torture their pray before killing them...killer whales throw the seals around? im pretty sure big cats suffocate their pray and eat them live. im pretty sure life is roughget your head out of your ass and grow a pair

  • Wow, there's a lot of judgement being passed in this video. For all the stuff I've heard about vegetarians being tolerant and passive, this is kinda flagrant and disheartening.

Honestly, people have a choice, and many people eat meat. Human beings are onmivores, eating meat is part of our genetic makup. It'll take thousands of years of evolution to change that, unless they have a problem with evolution as well...

  • Who the fuck are you to say we are omnivores, when even the world's top scientists haven't proven that.

  • Ok fine, how about this then, I'm an onmivore, I like eating meat.

What I am contesting is that I am being made to feel bad about eating meat by some overinflated, dare I say almost fanatical, group of people who say that what I'm doing is wrong.

I'm labelled by media and groups as a bad person because I smoke and drink and don't drive a fucking smart car. I'll be damned if I'm gonna be labelled bad because of eating meat.

Eat meat, or don't, just don't force your beliefs on me.

  • Eating meat doesn't make you an omnivore than wearing a dress makes you a woman. And to your following point, about being labelled, you too labelled vegetarians - this debate could go on, but to use your own logic system on you - you wouldn't force your beliefs on others if you felt passionate bout something. Come on? What about child rapists, should we not complain about them either. And no, I'm drawing a comparison between the act of rape and eating meat. Just don't be a hypocrite.

  • I'm not being a hypocrite. I actually truly resent being called that especially about pushing my beliefs on someone. If you or anyone here took it as that I am truly sorry. My comments are solely directed towards the makers of this video and how it made me feel, like a sub-class because of what I eat, and that's not fair in itself.

  • I'm gonna go get myself a burger at Nations.

  • fuck off!!!

    i love meat!!!!!!!! =)

  • What a bunch of regurgitated vegan crap. None of that is true. How about you support local family diversified farms that actually improve the environment, the soil, and animal life. Not to mention human health, happiness, independence, freedom, and a better economy

  • great video im vegetarian. 72% of grain grown in the USA is used to feed slaughterhouse animals. Half if all freshwater is used in slaughterhouses. its amazing. a human can be healthy without eating meat therefore you kill an animals just for your appetite.

  • we are controlling the animal population would you rather have them die of starvation over crowding and disease or have them be quickly shot besides they arent defenseless

  • Cows or cats would eat us too if they had a chance. Do not mistake a cat's respect for one that is dominate for love, they are killers plain and simple and if you do not believe me ask their friends the birds.

  • Cows would eat us? Not cows, they are herbivores.

  • Comment removed

  • hmmm ur a fucking idiot what do their herbivore prey eat ? so it must be around for them too? but they need meat to survive get you head out of your ass and grow a pair

  • Comment removed

  • i'm vegetarian and this video makes a point. it should be watched by everyone.

    GO VEGGIE!

    :)

  • It's the food chain... come on!!!!

just gobble up some bacon and all of your reasons will be reversed!

  • You know, honestly, none of that bothered me. Big things eat smaller things, it how nature works. If humans weren't supposed to eat meat then we wouldn't have canine teeth for ripping, and we wouldn't have a digestive system that can handle meat. That's just how the world works, and some people just need to realize this and move on. As for me, I'm gunna go enjoy a nice healthy serving of cow.

  • You have to be a selfish, heartless monster to actually say that thats how "nature works." when an animal is skinned and boiled alive with no chance of its own is that really "nature?" the correct answer is no! I dont know what kind of person would actually think that slamming live pigs on the ground is okay and keeping chickens in such small cages that they dont have any room to move around is okay. It's not okay that horrible people like this do this to these cruel things to innocent animals!

  • Ive got a few questions, do you eat eggs? How about milk? Do you wear leather clothes, such as a jacket or gloves? Do you object when someone uses a horse hair bow to play a violin? Do you yell at fishermen to bring in their lines when they fish, or do you fish yourself? All of these things, and much more have the same outcome for an animal as eating one, but you probably still have milk on your cereal in the morning. Stop and think about it, and maybe you'll realize that meat isn't so bad.

  • Actually, i do not eat eggs ,or milk. I do not wear leather. I do not fish and i do object to hotse hair violin bows. Want to know why? BECAUSE I CARE

  • do you drink Silk Soy milk or practically any major brand of soy milk because they are owned by Dean Foods who is a monster industrial animal agriculture company. SUPPORT FAMILY DIVERSIFIED FARMS THROUGH CSA, COW-SHARES, and more innovative ways to put the money back into farmers and families, rather than in a few hands who cannot be trusted.

  • no you do not. if you cared you'd have some critical thinking skills. human are omnivores, instead of being vegetarian and going to the extreme of your morals, why don't you support a local family farm, cowshares, etc. know where your food is coming from. and animal parts are used in more than just what that person mentioned. they can be found in phones and numerous other everyday items. so you cannot completely avoid it.

  • No. No. No. Yes. Yes. No.

  • How could you possibly still want to eat animals after watching this? I wish I'd become a vegetarian earlier.

  • Comment removed

  • I want a cheese burger.

  • that's the spirit

  • i am not a vegetarian and this video shocked me for the way this animals are treated, This is not about going vegetarian this is about teaching them horrid people how to "kill" animals. So much cruelty should be punished.

I really hope people that aren't vegetarian will buy more free range food becuase in that case, even if the animal gets killed they get to like a mch more dignified life.

  • haha when you want to influence people into going your way, talk about impotency ;)

  • this video made me cry!!

  • Ok, wtf is up with all these people arguing?

Certain animals are meant to be eaten. If you believe in god, that means you understand why you eat meat.

God gave us meat to have food! why do u think cows only eat grass, poop, and make milk?

they are made to be eaten, it is the way of life.

Don't you think if we didn't eat meat, animals would be overpopulated by now?

There are predetors, and there is prey.

We as Humans are predators.I know eating meat is not wrong cuz that's watthey weremadefor

  • # 4 because i lied to your grandama about my dick size.

    # 5 i like poop

#345894759-cuz they grow vegtables in cow shit. you morons

    # 15 those hungry little bastards can eat cows too, faggot

#1232 what are poor lions sposed to eat? you people are cruel, denying meat to carnivores, god.

#123123124...i cant stop laughing right now...

    #1 youre all douche bags

your filthy and bloody too, you whore. god

  • Comment removed

  • no.13 i eat meat i dont beat defenceless animals

    no.14 apparently i think otherwise

no.15 because we would have to kill those farm animals to then give the grain to people not what your about though is it?

no.16 im bored so im guna go have my lunch and amazingly i wont get heart disease

  • no.7 your right it isnt fair to have people try to tell you what to eat

no.8 yep lets release em all to the wild where guess what the entire familky gets slaughtered by predators oh dear

no.9 whearas a healthy BALANCED DIET means i will potent and live longer than most vegatarians

no.10 because there was a potato famine in ireland

    no.11 it will never stop

no.12 do you think the marines agree?

  • no.1 my healthy balanced diet makes it unlikely that i will get heart disease no.2 (or a balanced diet) no. 3 ?? you mean i take in fat yes it is a lot better than getting small portions of fat and looking like a pale skinned vampire no.4 i dont lie no.5 in every field that vegetables and fruit grow in there is "poop" its a viscious circle no. 6 because fruit and vey are filthy and covered in dirt wait hang on no we remove the dirt hmmm

  • lol remember never eat

batteries ear wax your dog looooooooool1

    i´m vegeterian,too and i like my life

sry if the message was sad(thats with the dog)but that was the only thing witch i understand ´cause i´m german!

  • wow, there is a lot of arguing

  • I love this video. I love being a guilt-free vegetarian.

Anyone who has any other opinion, feel free to contact me and I will only prove you wrong, its what I do. :)

  • when did I say "i'm the same as a tiger"? I didnt I'm saying it's a natural occurrence

you cannot prove anybody wrong as you a moron with a closed mind, you are a blatant fool and your "logic" is nothing but irritating you cannot provide sufficient evidence to back up any claim you make "for example the chickens and cars claim" you cannot even properly defend yourself in an argument your grammar is atrocious and honestly who is going to take you seriously?

not even I took you seriously

  • My logic is irritating because its true and you can't deny it! Duh. It bothers you that your way of living and thinking is completely wrong and immoral and you know it. I don't need to convince you because it's clear and if you honestly and truly can't see that, then my dear YOU ARE THE MORON.

  • Okay, you want evidence about the chickens and cars. Give me a second and I'll give it to you.

The problem here is that I'm giving you facts and you're acting like a little kid saying, "Nah, uh. That ain't true. Cause I said so." Pretty much what you sound like.

  • I've NEVER felt guilty about eating a steak. I just happen to sit at the top of the food chain and I'm not giving up my spot.

  • Umm, okay.

That's the difference between you and I. I care, you don't. And that's fineee. :)

  • Wait a minute. I "care" about animals. I'm actually a VERY caring pet owner. My dog actually has a health care plan. I just don't feel guilty (at all) about eating animals in general, especially cows.

  • Yes, you care about them, yet you eat them. You care about cows, yet you don't mind funding their slaughter, right? And if you DON'T care about them, then I guess only some animals fit your standards of the "won't be eaten".

  • My family owns a large farm in central Missouri. We don't necessarily "fund" their slaughter. We prefer to do it ourselves every now and then. (I assure it's done as humanely as possible, we don't get off on animals suffering) "standards of the won't be eaten" Sure, I wouldn't eat cats, dogs, horses, ect. It's really hard for me to even imagine not having beef in the freezer.... it's just our way of life.

  • Well my way of life doesn't involve other beings having to die for my nutrition or pleasure, whichever it is. That's all I'm saying. It's just not right to me.

  • Well, our species has been eating meat for many thousands of years sooo, not really any reason to stop now.

What about lions, tigers, bears, sharks? Don't they eat meat too?

  • Yeah, we have been eating meat for a long time, but I'm not sure that's a good excuse for continuing to do so. Up until 100 years ago, you could legally beat a dog to death, but now that's illegal. Would you agree that making cruelty to dogs and cats illegal was a good idea?

  • I don't think cruelty to any animal is ok. However, I don't think eating them is necessarily cruelty. Cows are born and bred specifically for the purpose of being consumed. 100 years ago, you could beat your wife too, that doesn't make it right.

  • But most of those animals are abused and suffer all the way up until their time of slaughter. That is cruelty, And if you are consuming meat, then you're funding this kind of cruelty. Even if you eat you "organic meats" that are treated well before killed off for food, it doesn't change the fact that that animal had to die so you could eat it.

  • I think you forget the fact that our family raises almost all of the beef that we consume. Not ONE of our animals are treated inhumanely durring their life. Also, your Idea of "organic" meats is probably completely misled. What is your definition of "organic". Animals die, that's what they do. So do we, get over it. You live a much too sheltered life I'm afraid. Everything lives and then dies. Everything also EATS.

  • Plants have to die. Animals and ecosystems have to die for your mono-culture vegetables and fruits to be grown. So, yes beings have to die. Do you eat fish at all? Death is part of eating at every corner, but so is life. If you want to be a better person, support a local small farm for your animal products, and try to shop at farmers markets for produce, even if its not 'organic' it is more than likely raised to basically the same standards. If you can get biodynamic it is even better.

  • but do plant feel pain?

you cant say that the do.. and we just cant hear them.

because plants dont have nerves.... they dont have a brain for the nerves to connect to.

the point PETA are trying to make.. is that animals shouldnt be killed in this way. they should be killed with respect, quickly, they should have a life before they die.

    people are greedy.

  • who knows how plants "feel". they might not have nerves and so on, but they are a totally different kingdom of life. plants respond to various things like music and so on differently, so who is to say that they do not feel any "pain" at all or something similar. you still kill the plant none the less, especially in industrial agriculture, they are just guinea pigs and slaves.

PETA should stop their fear mongering and dividing people, and start also promoting small rural family farms that ...

  • ... can help peoples healths, provide higher quality food (both in animal and plant form), not leave such disastrous results for nature, and even help renew it (i.e. biodynamic, etc), and also help local communities grow and support themselves. PETA has gone a little off track and just become a hate-group really. they need to reapply their efforts to something more useful, that in the end could help animals more. Look up the affects of industrial agriculture that is just monoculture plant life..

  • ... and you can find lots of information about how this kills lots of animals and ecosystems. this is not helping animals, but small family farms that are diversified and help the soil can.

  • I would eat horse. Come to Quebec or France and many other parts of the world, and you can eat horse. Its good. I understand your reasons for not eating horse if you live in a 'horse culture' area (i.e. Alberta, or parts of the mid-west of U.S.)

  • Its like you hear everything he says, but you repeat the same statement. Auto-pilot programming? C'mon. Get a clue. underfoil clearly does not want or support industrial farming methods which you do if you eat the majority of vegetables and fruits, basically just as 'bad' for the environment as industrial meat.

  • You are guilty of supporting this radical organizations and people that mis-lead and only use videos showing extreme abuse by assholes that should be arrested, as well as footage from horrible industrial farms. I agree with you on every aspect, except for the fact that you think you are better than people who eat animals because your some how innocent and sinless from death. You kill everyday to eat (i.e. plants, bacteria, etc.).

  • I think I won that debate.

However, if you still have something else to add, feel free to do so. I check my account almost everyday and I never shy away from a good debate. :)

If I haven't changed your mind about meat at all, that's fine. At least I have enlightened you and at least I've stated and made my point.

  • naaah you didn't win i just took a short nap :) was refreshing

to be frank protesting is a waste of time, spending money to what could be used to better your life instead of protesting, and to be added I take george carlins point of view on the environment I think the earth is fine, I do not care about the environment at all, as the earth is fine, me caring about the environment isn't going to change anything I've come to understand that

  • Love this Video!

  • I LOVE PETA!!! now i´m a vegetarian and i´m very proud of it... why killing when we can eat other things? i´m from portugal, in this litlle country of the Europe there are 30 000 vegetarian persons in a population of 10 500 000! I expect that the number of vegetarians grow up in the next years!!! LOVE THE LIFE, NOT THE DEATH!

  • little question to these people

ummm they mentioned human rights in the video which is surprising, but if everyone in The united states was a vegetarian that would put the meat market out of business and leave a lot of people jobless, yeah human rights my ass

and they do know that every plant is a living thing as well right? if they dont want to sacrifice lives of anything plants or animals EAT A FUCKING ROCK! I'll eat what ever I want to eat

as I am an omnivore I eat plants and animals

    THINK

  • Sweety, the animal rights movement is about human rights, too. It's for people whose only way of making a living is by having to kill another living thing. That's no way to make a living.

And yes plants are living things, but they aren't sentient beings. They don't have emotions and can't feel pain like an animal can.

And, looking at the bigger picture, eating animals means you don't care about the environment or the millions of starving people in our world.

  • umm haha wow...that made absolutely no sense what so ever sorry but I can't follow the logic behind not eating animals would help the millions of starving people infact it would hinder it because we eat other animals such as cattle we can help prevent overgrazing, granted we do cause overgrazing a lot but eating the cattle also helps prevent it if we left all the cattle in the world alone they would eat eat and EAT until every area is grass free and the cattle would die of starvation

  • And how does that not make sense?

Animals raised for food use grain and land that could be used to feed the hungry and instead being fed to animals who end up on the dinner plates of the rich. Eighty percent of starving children live in countries that actually have food surpluses; the children remain hungry because farmers use the surplus grain to feed animals instead of people. Two-thirds of the grain that the U.S. exports to other countries is used to feed farmed animals instead of people.

  • Not to mention....

Global warming. Overexploited natural resources. Deforestation. Wasted land. Water and air pollution. The most serious environmental problems of our time are all directly linked to eating meat.

    Shall I go on?

  • how does eating animals that produce carbon monoxide which is supposedly the cause of global warming, deforestation which holds the things you vegetarians eat, the only wasted land I've ever seen are golf courses, air pollution will happen no matter what we do volcanoes produce carbon monoxide as well

the earth is just fine by the way, the earth can just adapt to any environmental change it's the human race who can't animals can adapt as well, so we affect ourselves..hmm who would've thunk it?

  • if every American skipped one meal of chicken per week and substituted vegetarian foods instead, the carbon dioxide savings would be the same as taking more than a half-million cars off U.S. roads. :]

  • what evidence do you base this off?

it's not the americans who skip chicken it's the school lunch menu by the way, I'm still in school and they serve at least 3 straight days of chicken, chicken nuggets, chicken wings, chicken legs, chicken fries the list goes on

it's sad really but again I say what logic and evidence do you base your claim about the cars on?

  • Just because your school serves chicken doesn't mean you have to eat it and it doesn't mean you have to contribute to the meat industry at home. I'm also still in school, so I know what kind of disgusting and unhealthy food the school system provides. ;/

  • I'm underweight, I have a high metabolism I'm usually starved by lunch, they have me by the balls so I have to eat it, I don't eat the fries because they're nasty as hell, I don't even much like the chicken they serve it's unhealthy and really ugly looking, I'd much rather not eat it but I do because I can't pack my lunch

    I have my reasons

  • Are you telling me that you couldn't bring a sandwich or packed lunch to school? And I'm sure that your school provides salad, veggies, and fruit of some sort.

Besides, I'm not saying you don't have your reasons. I'm simply giving you MY reasons for not eating meat.

  • my school provides these really bad tasting ugly salads that are loaded down with preservatives and pesticides, no thank you, I can't pack a sandwitch because well I can't I eat the fruit they serve but it's kind nasty

I get that everyone has their reasons so I'm fine with that just a simple debate between 2 people

  • No offense, but that just sounds like being picky and lazy. To me, that just means you don't really care about animals or the environment. And the only reason I say that is because it is SO easy to refrain from eating meat and help the envrionment. I'm really big on that and I have made so many sacrifices for the sake of animals, the environment, and my health and when people cannot make even the simplest of changes for a greater cause, it makes me wanna gag. :/

  • not picky not lazy I just can't make a sandwich, if i was picky I wouldn't eat anything, and no I can honestly say I don't care about the well being of animals who are born and raised to be the thing I can't make a sandwich, I don't want to be a hypocrite

  • Wait, did you just say that animals are born and raised to be eaten?

  • it is clear that raising animals for food puts a tremendous strain on our already limited water supply, and water is used much more efficiently when it goes toward producing crops for human consumption.

  • we don't really have a limited water supply though

  • Actually darling, we do.

Ocean water may cover more than 70 percent of the Earths surface, but thirsty humans rely on finite supplies of freshwater to stay alive. And with exploding human population growth, especially in poor countries, these finite supplies get quickly spoken for. Further, in places without proper sanitation, water can become tainted with any number of diseases and parasites.

  • well here's a good idea, take the salt water and boil it, get all the salt out of it and drink it problem solved we have enough water in the world to make sure nobody dies of thirst but most of it is salt water which today can be purified

  • And you honestly think its that easy? Their are 6,677 billion people living on this Earth. If it were that easy the problem would already BE solved.

  • well seeing as just about any moron with a pot can boil water and purify it that easily I would assume that dehydration isn't a world problem, the world problem is starvation getting water is easy, getting food is harder, but instead of preaching vegetarianism to me who won't budge in this argument because I think it's illogical and stupid, preach it to the people who are dying of starvation I'm certain as long as your talking about food they'll listen

  • I'm not "preaching" anything. If I recall correctly, this isn't an argument... it's a debate. You said so yourself.

And any moron with a pot could boil a pot of water, but what about people who don't have bodies of water nearby? What are they supposed to boil, dirt? And that is exactly my point, we waste not only water, but food, too. So you have just proven my point.

  • ummm an argument is a debate just a different word an argument is often thought of as an angry exchange of words but in actuality it's just a debate

well for starters if they don't have any bodies of water nearby I recommend a change of location but if that's not possible perhaps they can find water else where perhaps they should go somewhere often and bring back water? or maybe since it's the 21st century THEIR GOVERNMENT SHOULD HELP THEM!

  • Actually, let me inform you on the differences between the two.

An argument is usually the self opinionated forceful try at persuading some one to believe in your answer or opinion. a debate is usually a well informed discussion between two people with opposing views on any one subject

And, we are talking about people in impoverished countries where none of the above are available, that's why they depend on us for help.

  • Many foreign governments are ill-equipped to meet the needs of people in their countries and often don't do enough for their survival, that's why they are dying.

It doesn't help that we could be feeding these people good grain that is wasted on animals raised for food that eventually end up on the plates of wealthier human beings.

  • About 20 percent of the world's population, or 1.4 billion people, could be fed with the grain and soybeans fed to U.S. cattle alone.

  • Basically, there is no reason for humans to continue consuming meat. NONE at all.

If you do, then you don't care about the environment, you don't care about the millions dying in other countries and you don't care about your health.

People like me work our butts off and do protests, spend money, etc just to convince meat eaters that Vegetarian is the right choice, ethically and morally.

Their are so many benefits that by far outweight the "negative".

  • perhaps you should understand that protests are never taken seriously by the public, not even anti abortion protests, it's not never has we all look at it as pointless whining for something that's as equally pointless

therefore reassuring my position on vegetarianism and protesting stuff like save the environment, when all you're really doing is say "i just want a clean place to live so I won't be inconvenienced slightly in the future" going to extreme lengths for that, is sad
