america is now 64th in income equality. 400 americans have more "wealth" than the bottom half of the country, about 155 million people. the tax cuts bush gave the top 2%, roughly 800 billion, is about half of everything the bottom half owns.
This is a fair statement, I think, and most of our business practices revolve around this principle. If you have a larger condo, you pay more maintenance to the association you belong to.
If the top 1% really own 34.6% of the nation's net worth, they should be paying 34.6% of the income tax revenue our government takes in to maintain our society.
I think corporations are helping to push the insane tea party. This country has been hijacked by an extreme minority probably funded by the same people the tea party want to protect - the rich. The time to fight for country may soon be here. We simply cannot let the wishes of 72% go ignored by the ignorant. It is up to us to "kick their asses" out.
@OregonDARRYL " I think corporations are helping to push the insane tea party." THIS is truth! Some of us have seen this since Sarah Palin came on the Tea Party scene as she had lost the election and went after the gold in 2009. Some of us, I guess, are just catching on! Google "Freedom Works" Dick Armey, Fox News, and dozens of other "sponsors" of the tea party movement. NY TImes "The Billionaires Bankrolling the Tea Party" Koch Brothers.
Dozens of corporations and rich folks bankroll this
@awreslr2 There would be no tea party without the money of Koch brothers and Corporations supporting them. They took a small grass root movement, put money into it to work towards their agenda. This agenda is to benefit them the Koch brothers, billionaires and Corporations. It is not to benefit us working people. What the average tea party person doesn't understand is what they are part of will in the end hurt them and hurt our country. That they are being used by these billionaires.

Those that own, should pay to maintain.

The top 10% should be paying 73.1% of it.
