Sorry - bad advice. There is zero contrast to these photos, which is great for boring stock photos and porn. Real portraits are interesting and rarely shot on a white background.

I wouldn't follow this advice. Look at the lighting tips from photographers like Bert Stefani and Joey L.

I am still going to school because i was the popular guy in school who everyone wanted to ditch class with, it was fun but now i am paying dearly for it haha. after school though i am joining the army for a while.

@jakerawr101 We have our fair share of them also in NJ . I don't mind though, Cheap labor is sweet. Case and point, a few years ago, i had 2 trees in front of my home. Called an American company with white workers,$4500. Called some Italian with 4 Mex workers, $2000. At the end the shift, the boss paid them $120 each and kept the rest. And you know what, they were happy as heck. At the end of the day, i got the work done for half $, the Italian made his$, Mex guys were happy, and all was well.

It's a studio: there's no available light that you would like to use, and even if it is, at iso100-f14-1/25 you probably wouldn't catch much of it :D

It's flash and studio, so stop thinking about shutter speed. As long as you're below 1/200 you're fine (well, with clear limitations)

the two back lights are Elinchrome 500 w/s, the main light is a 1000 w/s Elinchrome being shot into the back of the Elinchrome octabank and reflected out through the front.

High key, as in: produces a high key photograph.

A picture containing lots of whites, and\or light colors is high key.

The term High key is a type of value, the other type being low key, which means lots of blacks, and\or dark colors.

So yes, that is high key.
