  • One of the greatest songs ever written and this is yet another testament to its greatness.

  • Listening to this brings a tear to my eye. It took me 18 years of my life to find out that my two favorite musical groups had (somewhat) come together to make such awe inspiring music, I can hear David Gilmour's words laced on top of the flow of the Orchestra and the combination of the two is just perfect.

  • i have actually burned out 3 of these cd's its the ONLY music i listen to to go to sleep with

  • i love the lonely feel of ending. way better then the breath reriser in the album version.

  • I own this CD. I bought it when it was released and love it. I'm sitting here at work and wanted to here it. Thank you for uploading this.... :-)

  • some kind of wonderful :)))

  • Way better than Lil' Wayne...

  • oh my god!

  • This is such an incredible rendering of the Time by Pink Floyd... It is not only adoringly impressive but irresistibly pathetic. The Royal Philharmonic's arrangement was impressive orchestration. But, London Philharmonic's is re-creating the composition in a style similar to the film scores. The fortes and pianos are different from what we are accustomed to hearing in the original Pink Floyd interpretation. The sound effect of a wheel turning that repeats only adds to the total effect. Thank you

  • I'm glad that someone else agrees with me that no one seems to be able to cover Pink Floyd songs. The only good covers I have heard are Easy Star All Stars' Dub Side of the Moon, and Primus doing Have a Cigar. I bought this philharmonic album too and it's brilliant. Everyone else seems to butcher Pink Floyd. People have told me that Dar Williams did a good job at Comfortably Numb, but I thought it was one of the worst.

  • omg. wat. sfghghd there are no words to describe how beautiful this is...

  • I am a huge pink floyd fan and i was skeptical to a classical cover of this song but i must say.... this is simply wonderful.

  • wenisima compare, me fumo un cuetazo al toke con esta volaita

  • even instrumental their music is epic

  • I first heard this recording back in 1995 when I was 14 years old and hearing it again instantly took me back to a simpler time as well as giving me a fresh appreciation for how fantastic this rendition really is.

  • only two person dont like it...i think they dont about real music....

MASTERPIECE! PF fan I'm amazed :D

  • YES!! this is what I like people talking about good stuff about a PFloyd cover, not people bitching!

  • ...I saw so much I broke my mind...

  • It starts off kinda slow and boring, but then it's just mind blowing

  • @OscarRocketsMusic slow yes, but never boring for a good ear

  • This song is great.

  • OMG! I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan from Brazil. What's that? I honestly thought that nothing could possibly be as good as PF. Of course, they're still genius - they've come up with this after all - but only a classic version, executed by people that have studied music so deeply, could sound as amazing as PF guys.

  • This melts my mind.

  • This melts my mind.

  • This song...*wipes a tear* is beautiful...

  • This song has so much oommphh it is unbelievable!

  • I swear to you guys, I'm not saying this cause of Likes or whatever , But I seriously think some 2 Justin Bieber fans came and disliked this work of art!

  • @litldrummerboy62

i don't even think youve touched a bong in your life

  • Pink Floyd + Jaz Coleman + London Philharmonic Orchestra = (No words to describe)

  • Solo is just magical :-)

  • since 2:58 It's pure magic...

  • i am warming my weary bones besides the fire as i listen to this. great song.

    chud1able

  • Im listning this during the Dec 21 lunar eclipse. Of corse while burning one.

  • One of the best songs by Pink Floyd, and this version is so beautiful! Love it.

  • some beautiful piece of music it put my mind at peace

  • Tear, that is all.

  • so beautiful and epic, this adaptation is a testament to how good of a band pink floyd really is.

  • Epic O_O

  • I love this music. My soul is glad. This music is Wonderfulllllllllllllllllllll!

  • can i buy sheet music of this arrangement anywhere

  • algun link para descargarlo? esta genial

  • the best ever

  • very interesting piece of music. i love the interpretations here.

  • wow! haven't heard this symphonic pink floyd stuff since i was a kid. yay!

  • rare. super

  • holy shit best thing to listen to when you are stoned!!!!

  • @litldrummerboy62 hell yea im smokin to dis rite now...haha

  • The beginning section is equally matched as this version is really interesting! However when it gets into the main section where the lyric section comes in... it just doesn't have the same effect and is kind of anti climatic

  • Would make an amazing soundtrack to the new Hobbit movie or what?

  • è davvero bellissimo questo riaddatemento dei temi fantastici e perfetti dei pink floyd

credo proprio che lo comprerò ;)

  • Great tribute to a timeless classic! I wonder if the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra could do the same with Ga Ga and Sean Kingston and the rest of the mindless insults to human intelligence we suffer daily.

  • Stunning. The classic intro is somehow done justice with orchestral percussion, the bombast of the verses perfectly juxtaposed with the peaceful serenity of the choruses, the guitar solo transmuted into a glorious orchestral orgasm (though, it already was, wasn't it?). Whoever did this arrangement knew exactly what the hell he was going. I'm blown away.

  • @ProgHead777

    great review.

  • Brilliant!

  • This is really really awesome, but just isn't as good as the original :D

  • Superb, no less... I think that every song composed by pink floyd can be a real orchestrial opera. i wish if something similar was made on Echoes too.

  • YESSSSS!

  • My gosh this performing it's amazing! I remember what when i was child and i read the fantasy book i every listen this composition but one day I don't find the song and by that day i search this performing like a crazy XD

*sorry for my really bad english ç.ç*

  • OMFG is right erdly!

  • nice real nice

  • I actually really like this = )

Of course original is best, but I like this mellowed version as well

  • I love it. It's not as good as the original, obviously - but it's still very nice to listen to.

  • i actually really dont like this.

  • OMFG!!!

This is epic! Floyd is the best band what ever made in the earth...

  • @erdly They're possibly from another planet, imo.

  • @erdly

    'in the earth'

I think you mean on the earth, and that implies that there are other bands in the galaxy better then Pink Floyd, and I doubt that

  • I just LOVE these versions.

  • It would be brilliant if someone synced this along with the real song.

  • This music is working wonders for my brain I'm sure.

  • I'm a huge Floyd fan and I've got to say, these covers are fantastic! Did anyone else buy a gun when they heard Korn's cover of another brick in the wall? I swear if I ever see Johnathon Davis walking down the street he is toast...LOL

I do have one bit of criticism for the London Philharmonic Orchestra though; why does the cover have a god damn Dinosaur on it?

  • you´re just right on the dinosaur thing.

  • I too love the mighty Floyd. Never mind Korn's carve-up have you heard Scissor Sisters cover of Comfortably Numb!! London Philharmonic are amazing though.

  • I listened to that cover of Comfortably Numb by the scissor sisters.

I nearly died. It was Terrible!

I guess I hate Korn a little less

  • Dinosaurs rule?!

  • Lots of things rule; like hot chicks with guns. So why dinosaurs?

I guess its kind of like the big metal lizard thing from the "welcome to the machine" video. But that was pretty surreal and awesome, this dinosaur is just kind of there (randomly)

  • If you read the booklet the CD comes with, Roger Dean (the painter who did all the artwork for the album) explains the design ("The Dragon's Garden"). Originally it was just going to be the landscape; the dragon was added near the very end.

  • Unfortunately I don't have a hard copy, so I wasn't privy to that. Thanks for the info.

I don't think its a very good dragon though, LOL

  • Heh, it's really not, is it? The texture is nice, but the actual body is... well, when I first got the CD I thought it was supposed to be some sort of frilled snake.

  • Frilled Snake! You are totally right on with that observation!

  • Bought this DVD in 2000, lost it or someone "borrowed it" when moving January 2006, some needed it more than I, thanks for posting!!!! Wished as I do as known where and whenst I desire to be.

  • Great! Amazing! BumBumBum. Powerful version!

  • Amazing!

  • anyone know where i can find the one where they covered Baba O'Riley by the Who?

  • My Father used to play me a few LPs which were named classic rock, by the London philharmonic, absolutely wonderful stuff!!

  • I ENJOY this. Thank you.

  • This is the true definition of a "cover song."

  • excellent plus i have the cd..its cool for long road trips

  • This. Is. Awesome.

  • i like how they were able to maintain floyd's unique sound while also maintaining that beautiful orchestra sound...

    a masterpiece!

  • A lovely cover with depth and beauty.

  • The only reasons why I uploaded it :) I'm glad you thought the same!!
