Well said lavakava. We do tend to be complacement over small achievements. To set India right on track, we need a strong central goverment for some period of time (say 20yrs) which has very strict rules when addressing these issues - Education, Population and Infrastructure (aka Chinese govt.).

india needs to change on a fundamental level...just having a few km highways won't change india for good. what we need is discipline: keeping in lane, using indicator lights, eliminating rickshaws, ugly bikes, trucks, etc from the roads (this will take time), a centralized network for maintenance...india's maintenance sucks (some computerized GPS system that will indicate potholes)...india lacks badly in 2 things: EFFICIENCY and DISCIPLINE. this needs change!
