I know people that worked in the tunnels. The grout (concrete)that they pumped was very caustic and would burn your skin if exposed. I lived on the road leading to the BCPS and used to see the turbines being delivered to the station when I was a kid. They actually had to get a special permit to haul the equipment on the interstate highway, because it was so massive! They brought the eq. in on trains and off loaded it in Crows, Va.
