I can understand when couples conceive the rare triplets and quads naturally (which happens from time to time) but why do some of these couples expect help from ppl like TLC and their community just because they got large multiples? I mean surely they know that twins and more are the norm and highly possible when using fertility drugs. You're right though, at least they arent crazy like Jon & Kate. I stopped watching that show. I hate her.

Bunk beds aren't usually to safe for young children, especially those that aren't even out of cribs yet... My sister and I share a room and we didn't bunk our beds until we were in 4th grade (8 or 9 yrs). It's not that we fell off of our beds, we were planning on getting bunk beds earlier (5 or 6 yrs), but wen my little sister was born, we couldn't find the time...

Beautiful, really beautiful. They are blessed. CHildren ARE a reward ! Its a lot of work, but it pays off. One of the first commandments in the Bible, is Be Fruitful and Multiply.

But I think this documentary/report is definately more realistic than the way TLC presenting The Duggars 19 kids and counting. Its definately chaotic at times.

When I asked the nurse how many there could be, she said "well, as far as we know,5 eggs fertilized, but u never know. Soo, we had the whole wkend to think about it, and I imagined them allbein partners in crime, and I came to love the idea. When the nurse & dr looked, there was just 1.

@shesamotherof12 Not necessarily. I slept in a bunkbed when I was four because we lived in an apartment and needed the space. I had the top because I was not as rowdy and could be trusted. It depends on the child. At least they have carpeting.

This family seem real compared to j&k+8. They let their kids help with the things they do. They also have clothes all over the place which normal people do especially if you have ten kids. Kate always have to have a clean and spotless house.

These people are HEROES. I just love them - this is no ordinary feat, raising 10 kids who are all so well-adjusted and sweet, and managing to appear so relaxed at the same time! Eric and Betty are an example to parents everywhere.

guys there's actually one thing that is never mentioned on these shows.

a good doctor would never have 6 "eggs" or more implanted or whatever the word is in a woman's uterus.1st coz it's illegal and 2nd coz it puts the mother's life into risk.no more than 4 are legal.so if they wanted one more daughter why would she carry 6 eggs and not 2?

@Limon3Lime Betty (the mother) says she got hormone therapy, not in vitro. So no doctor implanted any eggs. However, doctors will check how many eggs are maturing and warn couples if they see a large number of eggs are maturing. So either the doctor didn't see just how many eggs were ripe that month and so nobody knew, or the Hayeses were warned and ignored the warning. We don't know.

Also, I don't think it's illegal to implant a large number of eggs in most places in the U.S.
