I'm not in the military, so I don't know what is going on in Iraq other than what I read about, see on the news, and in documentaries. From what I have gained from that, Zach seems to give a clear description. What about his speech do you think was inaccurate?
Well, painting a picture of iraqi citizens being subjugated and oppressed and fighting such a military regime. The truth is they are just trying to survive. The goals of the US military in iraq are not to do either oppressing or subjugating and thus the "resistance" for the most part does not come from the regular iraqis, youthful or otherwise.
I think that our people on the ground have no desire to subjugate or oppress the people of Iraq. But, sadly, as we now know (via the freedom of info. act of 1966) our government has a long standing history of using our substantial military and political influence to subjugate vulnerable countries for the purpose of augmenting the USAs economic prospects. I agree that the resistance may represent a minority of the iraq people, but that does not mean that they are at odds with the slient majority.

While I love Rage's sound, and I respect Zack De La Rocha as an artist, I kind of feel as though the people following him are only doing so as a popularity thing. To be quite honest, it's easy for people to speak out against Fox News for being a right-wing channel, but if you look at the liberalism of almost all other stations, it's hypocritical of these types of people to call Fox out for being biased. I bought into the direction that the overwhelming majority of the facts and evidence led me. If you're lame enough to need a documentary to label that, that's not my problem. As far as the science behind it, i'm not sure exactly what you're referring to. Surely not the science that says that jet fuel burns at a maximum temperature of 1600 degrees, and steel needs minimum temperatures of 2300 deg to lose its structural integrity. Or the science that found Thermite, an explosive, at the scene.

See, here is the problem with people who only look at parts of the story and not the whole. Yes, jet fuel alone doesn't burn hot enough, but you have a plane basically sheering the coverings off of the wall, which not only adds to the fire, but the integrity of the steel is compromised at that point. Scientific evidence backs these facts up. The other problem is that a control demolition would of been started at the bottom, not the top.

Well, painting a picture of iraqi citizens being subjugated and oppressed and fighting such a military regime. The truth is they are just trying to survive. The goals of the US military in iraq are not to do either oppressing or subjugating and thus the "resistance" for the most part does not come from the regular iraqis, youthful or otherwise.

I think that our people on the ground have no desire to subjugate or oppress the people of Iraq. But, sadly, as we now know (via the freedom of info. act of 1966) our government has a long standing history of using our substantial military and political influence to subjugate vulnerable countries for the purpose of augmenting the USAs economic prospects. I agree that the resistance may represent a minority of the iraq people, but that does not mean that they are at odds with the slient majority.

While I love Rage's sound, and I respect Zack De La Rocha as an artist, I kind of feel as though the people following him are only doing so as a popularity thing. RATM idolizes kid-killer Che Guevara. A 12 year old boy was thrown in prison for defending his father from being murdered by the communist regime. He was to be executed without a trial. When it was time for him to die, Che walked behind the boy, and said, "you are a brave lad..." He upholstered his pistol and shot him in the nape of the neck so that it almost decapitated him.I wonder if RATM could write a song about that? Maybe a rap about how brave Che is killing kids. Know your enemy.

Lol, I know more about Che than even you. I own multiple novels on him, both critical and favoring him, documentary style, case book style, and biography style. I said he rules just to pull your chain since you tried to convey something meaningful via YouTube comments! No point in trying man..

In all truth, Fidel is the real bad guy of the bunch, at least Che didn't want to keep any seized power; instead he devoted his life to guerrilla operations abroad aimed at liberating impoverished peoples, which eventually resulted in his capture and execution by a CIA trained Bolivian Army Command of some 400 troops (versus Che's 16 guerrillas).
