Dude. Why hasn't anybody hired you as a film writer? The stuff you talk about like what would happen if Bumble Bee talked is brilliant. I'm telling you. If you were to write scripts for movies. You'd win rewards for best screenplay.
non of this ever happened! ure tell false info blackout is known hes really energon vortex who got renamed so blackout is vortex from g1 and all that info he says is bull! (bw bonecrusher)
Dude, why have you NOT made any movies? If I saw a preview and it said "Directed by The MoviePreviewCritic" I would see it like eight times... at least.
wow I never got that from the scorponok scene I could not get passed "it's micheal bay, it never has any reason," the scene still sucks because I was sitting there yelling in my mind for scorponok to charge in there and tear people apart with claws, lasers and all.
this whole comentary is brilliant this should of been a miracle of a film just like LOTR, Star Wars and the majority of comic books adapted for film or not.
But, If Bumblebee is able to talk, and the story moves faster, it would not have enough time for Sam and Mikaela to connect. And as you said, right then and there in the junkyard Bumblebee gives the signal for the other Autobots, there would not have been that scene where Sam and Mikaela hold hands, which I think was executed perfectly.
He's commenting on story details, though. While a director has control over the script in its final stages, there's typically a writer or two that comes up with it. Then an executive who looks over and green lights (this can happen before). Then a producer (sometimes executive) who can change the way a film's direction is heading.
Not to mention going through a studio or two, who are putting alot of money to the project. So what i'm saying is there are alot of other factors to consider.
So the best bet would be to write and direct yourself and work with producers that like you and your vision.
Even though i'm not a fan of his movies, Nolan did this very well. And the advantage he had is that no one wanted the campy interpretations from yesteryear.
The main problem with this film is that its actually the sequel to a book called, "Transformers Ghosts of Yesterday". It should have been the 1st film,
Problem 2 is not having James Cameron. All Bay does is blow crap up. Who cares.
Cameron would've been a better choice. In fact he's a better example than Nolan. Though I am not a huge fan of Cameron either, I like the way he approaches the action movie better.
As for the book thing, they should've written in scenes from the novel since I assume they were written (or thought of) in conjunction in the early stages. Based on what I read, the book doesn't have a satisfying conclusion. The badguy is still alive and for a big blockbuster like this you can't really have that.
The thing with you'r rewrite of Bumblebee taking off with Sam would've worked, but the thing with Sam telling BB to wreck the football guy's car and stuff went a little too far. You said how this movie had no motivation for the characters, BB had no reason to go along with Sam's pick up game. He could've told him "These glasses could save lives" but no. Give you'r plots the same critical view you give Bay.
Nice job with the alternate story. It could be they let bumblebee not talk to help develop the characters. I get what you are saying; how the characters develop during the action. But because the action is so intense perhaps it would have been too much at once. So true about the movie cliché hottie comment! It's so true about how she gets angry at the jock NOW and not at the beginning of the relationship. I always wonder how these people get into these relationships! SO TRUE!
I'm serious. I want you to make films! You've got the heart and soul lacking in everything nowadays.
I keep lauding you, but you keep startling and inspiring me with your observations. I'm very glad there's somebody out there who sees why these things are wrong, and how they can be better. My fellow film students don't even try.
How come Blackout had to attack the base, then Frenzy has to attack Air Force One, to try and track down Sam and the glasses...But Bumblebee knows where he is straight off the bat???
And I thought it was very weird that Bumblebee had his vocal thingee fixed in the middle of the final fight as well...
I think your alternative scene would break the pacing of the movie. Again, refer to my previous comment: 7 +/- 2 things at once. Which includes historical visual images, meaning, by the time Sam buys his car, the visual memory of Blackout attacking the base has just started to fade.
There was no romance between Neo and Trinity. Ugh, that was the most poor 'romance' scene in a movie. Totally not in the same class as Han and Leia.
ok if bublebee was to reveal himself to someone other than sam and his squezze it would attrack attention by the decepticons or sector 7 throwing the whole robots in Disguise thing out the window
still agree but am starting too think i need the dvd but i can always watch again well i think this video series is a good lesson for any would-be writter!
bayformer$ is not just a poor tf movie but you point out why its a poor movie too! great work
I love this guy's criticism because it's so true! But I still loved the Transformers movie the way Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg made it, but I wish that there were more Transformers.
"...by Peter Jackson, Christopher Nolan or James Cameron."
Or u. I'd luv 2 c ur alternate reality version!

MoviePreviewCritic would have made an excellent director for the film. They need 30 year old dudes working on the film, not anti Transformers people.

The movie states that the soldiers are in Qatar. But you see mountains in the background of the military base. There are no mountains in Qatar.
Illogical.
