Carolina rigging might be more effective though the down side to this is i doubt the squirrel will last very long with two hooks embedded in his body but then on the other hand i think you will only get a cast out of each one anyway due to the fact that the will more than likely drown... try both the trailer and the Carolina rigs and get back to me with the results.... xoxo

it seems able to swim fine. the trouble would be in "casting" the thing any significant distance. squirls arent' meant to be flung through the air by hooks.

I would be willing to bet fishing with this against the bank would prove effective. The biggest draw back would be finding an area near the bank with fish of this size. Besides I think using two hooks coming in from the back and out the underside would hold him in place for the first cast.. after that he going to drown anyway if he does not get taken
