@davirodricosta Hi, sadly I'm mostly positive that Toon Boom studio can not rotate the camera (this might have changed with 5.5 but i don't think so). You can rotate the camera in Animate pro and I think animate.
strawn4u actually helped me out more, I realize that you're new to the whole tutorial thing but how can you miss out a step as important as that? You really can't afford to miss anything, It may seem like nothing to you but to us we need EVERY detail, every click or eventually you'll miss something big.
Widows Peak studio: please i need help, with toon boom studio, because i use flash for make my 2d animationi need to know, how use the camera, pivot ,,,i cant use i dont know...if you have a SKYPE send me your name, please (i need help)
sure thing, i wasnt trying to be rude or anything. You know the program pretty well. A better quality screen cap (with mouse click graphics) and more detailed step by step instructions would be great. I still cant figure out how to change the shape of my camera peg... its just a little circle.
DUDE, HELP ME.. the Peg doesnt stay attached to the camera.. so the Camera doesnt move!!! everything else, i did... just the camera doesnt move, therefore it doesnt create the animation D:
I want to consider that the right tool to move the camera peg is Motion tool, by means of it we access important properties for design and control of curves such as placing floating control points or control points and control parameters as tension, continuity and bias . Also notes with arrows the beginning and end of the path.
Transform tool is used to create trajectories of the attached elements in front of camera. Excellent your initiative to offer tutorials for this software.
here is the step he left out that has been driving me nuts! After you create a peg, attach the camera, click on the transform tool, then go to to the frame you want to start the movement, click on element, peg, add keyframe. then click on your timeline where you want the camera to end up, drag your camera there, and you created movement! hope this helps
Hi Cecil. Your tutorial is very helpful although I still can't move my camera. I have a simple scene where a chickenmobile drives out of my camera view to the right. I add a camera and attach a peg and I still can't get the camera to move. I just move it from one place to the other but it doesn't get mobile. Any idea what I'm not doing? I'm goin kinda nuts. You're working from the timeline's peg and not the camera, right? Thanks again for your tutorials. Hope to hear from you. matt
lol, still love you. I have the ultimate test for you.......can you create the MATRIX bullet time scene effect with the camera in Toon Boom....Man i would have your BAby... :)
So i have received several emails on this tutorial. I am not surprised. So since there is more that can be described in more detail that I was going to go over later (pegs, transform tool, ect.). In the next couple weeks I will hopefully have up on my website a much more in depth tutorial about how all these extra things work.
So if you are confused email me what you find confusing and I will try my best to cover it as best as posible.
Hey jaidon13, yes I am using Toon Boom studio 4.5.
What do you not understand? Is it how pegs work? or something else? I will gladly go over with more details on this.
Please tell me what is confusing you and I will see if I can make it easier to understand. In the tutorial i said that this was hard for me as well and frustrating at first. So email me what you would like more details of and I will try to post it for you as soon as possible.
thank you for this tutorial u have helped me out a so much

Can you rotate the camera? And not just on one axix, I mean, what if you want the camera to point to the floor?

okay so i click add a peg on the camera and it makes one on a new layer.
moving the peg does nothing to the camera at all, the camera just stays in the centre of the location.
god i hate this program, i can't wait to drop it next year.

thanks for the attempted "tutorial"
you just click around and press play
"to add a peg, have it highlighted, and add a peg.... the camera is now attached to the peg"
then u just click around and say "oh 50 frames, and then play"
what if ppl dont know what a peg is, how to resize the peg, or how to set 50 frame length?

@mrkiki911
thank you for the comment. I like to here what needs to be improved in the tutorials since I'm not used to creating them.
Thanks for actually giving an example because this gives me something to work on.
