  • @theburnleylad then maybe you should get rid of that 5400 RPM HDD and get 7200 RPM or defrag (reply so i could help you make it faster)

  • Not enough screen. Too much bullshit.

  • If you upgrade the processor to a G4, you could install Tiger.

  • @an65001, Can you upgrade the processor in that Mac? I had a G3 that couldn't be upgraded.

  • @TheRealDutchOwner Yeah. Up to a G4 or a G3.

  • @daylenclawproduction Should be OS 9 Before imacs, and Ibook, whatever etc came out and thus in the imacs, and Ibook, whatever etc, Cheetah was born and the Kodiac. (5.2 Version 10.0: "Cheetah") (5.1 Public Beta: "Kodiak")

  • still better than vista

  • @daylenclawproduction Mac. lol

  • This was used as Batman's computer in one of the movies around that time. I think it cost around $20K. The tower somewhat resembles some SGI systems of the era.

  • U get this when it came out? Did a limo Come if it did?

  • What that's thing that look likes a thermos, to the right?

  • @MatsOljare The object to the right is the Bose subwoofer for the TAM system.

  • IIRC this was a horribly expensive computer.

  • R.I.P. Steve Jobs. You have changed the electronic world!

  • @TheMikkelThorsen Don't worry there will be smarter guys than him!

  • @TheMikkelThorsen iSalute !

  • @TheMikkelThorsen Steve Jobs was an asshole that diddled with children.

  • @TheMikkelThorsen personally I don't use macs and have nothing against them, but i was really sad to hear that steve jobs gone R.I.P...

  • @Taking1n1 who would be happy to listen a good man went to heaven so fast

  • @TheMikkelThorsen

    smh. -.-

  • @TheMikkelThorsen when did he die?

  • @TheSpeedPainteress not soon enough XD

  • @TheMikkelThorsen - Steve Jobs had nothing to do with this product, and even hated it when he returned to Apple.

  • @TheMikkelThorsen he didn't do that much.

    OT

I really like the look for the TAM and I was very interested in how the OS looks.

  • @TheMikkelThorsen No he didn't he only maked products that was over exepsive like the iphone and imac you can get a better phone/computer for less money he didn't invent any programs or shit apple sucks and people haven't realice it you a a 800 dollar apple sticker

  • I didn't know they put the power button on the keyboard there like the Macbook Air.

  • What in the fuck is a TAM

  • @mrapter7 Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh.

  • @ThisIsBillyH right. I figured that out as soon as i hit reply.

  • One of my former bosses had one of these. The TAM/Spartacus was sort of a precursor to the iMac. Sure, it was cool, but had a very slow PowerPC 603 architecture. This was a long time ago back in 1997, before Steve Jobs saved Apple from damnation. Now you can get a much, MUCH nicer iMac for a fraction of that price of course.

  • *hears startup noise*.....booting....when?

  • I want a TAM.

  • BUTTING THE TUNKFUK

  • can it run crysis 2?

  • @SafwanHamsani 2 Yes! 1 NO!

  • i wish the tam start up sound was on my iPod touch

  • @437pike Get iStartupSound :p

  • @437pike If you can find the mp3 file, and your ipod touch is jailbroken, you can change any system sound to anything you want.

  • AmigaOS - faster!

  • LOVE PCs, MACs KINDA...

  • Now I know where Apple copied the startup button from on the new MacBook Airs!

  • @MrVinney96 What do you mean copied, its their own design, you cannot copy something that is yours...

  • @MyWonderApple Let's say taken over then.

  • @MrVinney96 How about, reused the design?

  • @MyWonderApple Agreed, I could not find the right word.

  • Initial Price at $7,499

  • That's a great ol' TAM you have there.

  • Lovely.

  • @AN7HRO my MBP starts at 6 second (?)

  • Took it long enough to start ...

  • you should post specs and how old it is LOL

  • Will it blend?

  • that looks like the kiosk at the airport

  • And done..... Nice.

  • my dell laptop running Windows XP boots faster then that

  • @jman22009 You are comparing a 250 MHz 603ev PowerPc Processor based computer from 1997 with a computer around 2-3 years old?

Well I think I dont have to do any more comments on that do I?

  • Still my favorite start-up chime!

  • I hate MAC... MAC suck...

  • @pufixas then why did you click on this video?

  • @cats44able probaly pumba would work

  • I miss watching extensions load...

  • is it iTrash next to keyboard?

  • I would so love to have one of those.

  • So old!

  • is that a apple coffe machine next to it? (on the right)

  • 21 seconds from <I press to Mac OS boot... dang that's slow!

  • I remember when MY tam had color to it... Now it's blue :(

  • Nice video but i can tell tyka computer is 10 years old! really

  • It should have a great sound, it has a custom-designed Bose audio system! :)

Can it be upgraded to run OSX at all?

  • @fixman88 haha that would be a site!

  • @fixman88 sight* ;]

  • omg, this thing looks 10 times better then my pc, its 10 times faster then my pc and its 10 times older then my pc

  • never seen one of those before, it looks cool as!

  • looks great, but it was a really poor machine inside

  • Oh that looks so awesome.

  • put linux on it

  • That Is Not Fugly, That Is Just Fucking Ugly!

  • of course its hideous john scully invented it not steve jobs :-)

  • this looks bad ass

  • how many inches is the actual screen part?

  • Lol, Hideous.

  • Go Alfred! :D

  • whats taht thing next to it?

  • @Windows7kicksass Subwoofer by Bose I believe...

  • omg its so ugly!

  • Oh, the classic Mac Kernel Panic when the graphics was integrated into the kernel...

  • Mac rules I have windows 7 and I would rather have a Mac than a death trap laptop compaq 1 year old.

  • man why id they put such a small screen?

  • i didnt know it came with bose speakers :o

  • You have like the freaking oldest computers ever

  • Its weird how it seems people are more apt to keep their old macs than they are to keep an older pc. hmm, wonder why

  • Revolutionary.

  • Software from stone age, beauty from space age

  • now that looks ugly

  • That it's just beautifull!

  • what are those speakers?

  • Bose Speakers

  • @Fraga1ma it was like a home theater and a computer the big one was a base sound speaker

  • & not bad color on it for back in the day

  • its like something out of star trek

  • Does that thing even have a Ethernet port to go online with?

  • no but theres brobably some one whgo jerry rigged somting to do it!

  • @HBeagley i think it had a modem but no ethernet. don't quote me on that.

  • @HBeagley you can put one in...

  • the good all days

  • Wow, even though it that old, it STILL boots faster than Windows!

  • @OllieLocker You got that right!

  • @OllieLocker mac sucks windows rules end of discussion

  • @thecompans nopeee. :P

actually.. there BOTH pretty good o.o

  • @OllieLocker don't blame windows for booting slow. blame the pc it runs on.

  • @OllieLocker sucker

  • @OllieLocker not on an m11x. pwned

  • @OllieLocker Wrong. My XP PC boots in about 55 seconds and Windows 7 beats that with 45 seconds.

  • @OllieLocker Yeah, and the TAM was considered to be extremely underpowered for it's time!

  • @OllieLocker What was there to load in that time anyway?

  • @OllieLocker ... and so more stylishly.

  • @OllieLocker windows boots in like 10 sec

  • @computerhelperhacker Yeah if you have an i7 processor!

  • @desenagrator and SSD

  • @Hellhelium11231995 Yeah a solid state helps it a lot too!

  • @OllieLocker Add half a min and the speed f my XP machine comes in! :P

  • @OllieLocker Yet the mac OS is still useless, and the mac in the vid had most likely nothing on it.

  • @MasterNaruto1214 You might wanna watch how you use the word "useless". It might give away your stupidity.

  • @toastedjuice Then tell me how anything below mac os X ISN'T USELESS.

  • @MasterNaruto1214 Why you asking me, lazy ass? Look it up. Are you really that ignorant? It's an operating system, it runs software that handles tasks that you would otherwise be unable to accomplish or would take you numerous times longer to accomplish with your mind alone, that's why computers exist. Did you learn anything?

  • @OllieLocker Shut up Pear !!!

  • @OllieLocker ... that's because it has less stuff on it

  • @OllieLocker

    No it doesn't.

Windows XP/Vista/7 all boot in about 30 seconds. This took more than twice as long. You fail.

  • @tartredarrow Well, it mostly depends on how fast your hard drive is.

  • @MBP6705

You say that like the hard drive on the TAM can be easily changed. GTFO.

  • @tartredarrow I didn't say anything about replacing the hard drive, I just said it's the speed of the hard drive that determines boot times.

  • @OllieLocker no shit wtf was there to run in the 80s

  • @OllieLocker no shit wtf was there to run in the 80s and it actuall doesnt

  • @HummadJ This was 1998. Just throwin' that out there.

  • @MBP6705 meh still ages ago in technological revolution

  • That thing boots faster than my 2007 Dell Optiplex.

  • ohhh, I love that sound!

  • The TAM is almost as slow as the Hummer.

  • @iChristian3G rofl its funneh becuz its true

  • Ever tried booting Window '95 on a 250 mhz Pentium? You could have your breakfast before it booted. Windows in '97, I guess you were a second grader back then.

  • @iChristian3G What???

  • ''And Done, Nice'' My girlfriends comment to that was ''Wow that was the quietest wank in the world''

  • kool
