Dizzy didn't die. I saw in the Gears of War forums that Tai told him to run away. He is just missing in the rest of the game. Maybe in Gears of War 3 we would have to save him or he might come back. I saw a similar character to Dizzy in the Gears 3 trailer.

Don't worry, Dizzy is still around, gustavo1813 is right about how he survived, tai was able to hold off skorge and told Dizzy to run which he did and why he is still alive =] he will also be in gears 3 as a playable character in multiplayer, not sure if he will be a major part of the storyline though

I've played both gears of war 1 and 2 and to see Anthony and Ben die...was very tragic. I love to play gears of war. Through all the deaths of Anthony, Ben, Tai, Maria, Dizzy, and others it has been great to play with them lol. I want Clay to live but if he dies, I want him to die with honor knowing he would be with his other brothers soon

if you play act 5 chapter 1: escape, you have to help some gears (when the brumak appears) . When the fight is over, a gear comes to you and says: thanks i thought we were done for. If you look next to that guy you'll see another guy with the 'Clay helmet'.
