so who else has a dvd put or made for the book erdnase expert at the card table ? i would like some sources. the guy in this video seems too cocky doesnt seem like i wanna learn from him. can anyone help me with sources ? thanks
It's worth mentioning that some of the material in Expert appears to have been deliberately misrepresented. That's why so many top card men have had to devote so much time to it- they're trying to read between the lines and get at the moves Erdnase didn't want to give away. As for how good James' handling is, I have yet to see any clips from it so I don't really know. I will say to his credit that his own card magic is both highly deceptive and entertaining.
as anyone will find out by doing a few minutes worth of research, Simon Lovell is full of shit by claiming that "no one else on the planet" is more capable than Wesley James tackling the Expert. I think Darwin Ortiz would make him look like James was only capable of doing the 21 Card Trick.
SIMON LOVELL RULES & KICKS ASS ! Dai Vernon said that simons seconds where second to none !. and true ...YOU ARE NOT A MAGICIAN IF YOU DONT KNOW ERDNASE ! powerful stuff .... ..
I think you're fooling yourself if you believe that a magician(s) can show you the "correct" way to perform the sleights in Erdnase. Only Erdnase knew what Erdnase was talking about; everyone else has their own interpretation, and that's how it should be. It's not really meaningful for someone to claim that they are performing the sleights correctly.
are you exaggerating abit with the level of difficulty of erdnase book contents- fore instance there are know centre deals, riffle stacking moves, brush moves, table deals and palms ect.
If you were at all knowledgeable in the world of sleight of hand magic, and your name hints that you SHOULD be, you would know that Erdnase is one of the most valuable books in the all the art. The mere fact that you rate EATCT's level of difficulty on its lack of center deals or mucking. Oh, and p.s., EATCT has one of the finest examples of palming in all of card magic.

Credit to trickshopmagic for allowing the video response which pretty much buries this product that they offer for sale.
Perhaps they'll get some buyers out of sheer curiosity - train wreck syndrome and all that.

Wesley James is a bungling fool. He can't even manage to do an overhand shuffle.

This DVD is poor
You won't believe that Wesley cannot even perform the sleights himself, let alone teaching them

i know sleights can be difficult, and with gambling moves it's making them work in real games.
erdnase's book is not the most difficult book of sleights around, and it is out dated. would like to see the dvd, though.

You are correct in that you definitely have to practice on some of the more difficult moves. Card sleights often don't come easy.
