I seem to remember this song was used in an advert for South African Airways - in which the woman goes into labour on the plane! Am I remembering correct?
This is one of the rocks of South African music... Mango Groove really did out-do themselves. Another Country was written, recorded and released in 1993 in response to the brutal Boipatong massacre and in memory of the assassinated Secretary General of the South African Communist Party at the time, Cmrd Chris Hani. In my view, this song should be celebrated in the same league as two other greatest songs of our generation; "Paradise Road" by Joy in 1980 and "Weeping" by Bright Blue in 1987.

I don't know this song by Mango Groove, but it is very moving, as only Claire Johnston could do it. Stunning!
"And they will see another country in my eyes." How true that is.

A song with universal meaning. Am a Zimbabwean in the diaspora and believe me the issues are the same- people are people no matter where you are.

A band that sound wonderful, like no other (better even than The Corrs!) and who have done *so* much to attempt to midwife a new country, a new world
