Pwnagetool works better ONLY because you can adjust the primary partition size :D Blackra1n/Redsn0w/SpiritJB just don't give me enough space for my jailbroken apps XD

@abc123abc97 - - -> unfortunately you cannot jailbreak this model because it is an MC MODEL. MB models can be jailbroken but for now there is no jailbreak on MC models. but don't give up. wait on another jailbreak. im sure there'll be one soon.

no iPod Touch 3g cannot be jailbroken. at this point there is no jailbreak for the ipod touch 3g on 3.1.3.

yeah, the restore isn't working for most people out there. iTunes is not letting us restore to the custom.ipsw firmware. but u can use Redsn0w to jailbreak the firmware. i have a link to the vid in the video.

I have an iPhone 3GS 3.1.3, and i used redsn0w, but I did not see the boot logo and it didnt jailbreak. I didnt see the pineapple logo.

@Jake9360 get the firmware from felix burns both the 3.1.2 and the 3.1.3. i have a 3gs on 3.1.3 i went to itunes hit option restore and did the 3.1.2 got the error 1015 did it again got the error 1015 again.( you have to do it twice) now do redsnow but leave everything unchecked (cydia, boot etc) you should be on 3.1.2 ok now do the pwange tool with the 3.1.3 firmware run thru the procedure and you should be jailbroken. this work for me like i said 3gs 3.1.3 and jailbroken...

hi, ive been trying this for 2 days now and no luck! i keep getting an error about trying to downgrade to a previous firmware (i was trying to go back to 3.1.2). i can do everything you did with the pwnage tool and 3.1.3 but after the restore process theres still no cydia...any ideas?

you most likely can't downgrade to 3.1.2 but many people have been having problems restoring to the custom.ipsw that pwnage tool created. if you are not able to jailbreak the 3.1.3 firmware with pwnage tool, you can use Redsn0w. i have created a tutorial on how to do that. check it out and i hope it helps you.

trouble with this... i did do exactly what you did... and it didnt work, itunes version? it would extract but when it went to install the firmware to the itouch (tried both 3.1.2 and 3.1.3) it wouldent complete would hav to forcequit itunes after 20 mins -.- can u upload the firmware u made and i can try with that?

sadly i can't upload the firmware i used but have you tried expert mode? i don't know if you have but if you haven't try that! you can change the ipsw file around a bit before you build the firmware. it's really easy.

yes it will probably work because you are on the correct firmware. you just have to be restored to the official firmware but pwnage tool creates a new firmware for you so you don't have to worry about that.

@elvinlikestits---> there really is no way to install the custom.ipsw in another way. iTunes is your only tool. You'll have to try again and make sure you're on the 3.1.3 firmware before you jailbreak. If your on 3.1.2 then it may not work. It happened to me.

@elvinlikestits--> I think your device is MC but you can always try again. Make sure you have the correct firmware chosen when you browse or it in Pwnage tool. selecting the wrong firmware can make things go wrong.

i think you need to log into admin for your pwnage tool to work cuzz it makes the ipsw file and i needed to enter my passwd for that to work. there are many options in expert mode. i think you're in regular mode. check back.

do this, download the 3.1.2 firmware and go into itunes. then just shift click restore and itunes does the rest

your model bumber will start with MC if it is the new bootrom.. it will start with MB if it is the older model..
