I feel sorry for the girl..she has a total strict jerk of a father who doesn't acknowledge her, a mother who's very unsupportive and sides with the pedophile boyfriend and sends her own daughter away, then a neighbour when she lives with her father finally who's a child predator molester..To me she lived a horrible life and took the blame at 13 years old of the wrongful adults in her life.. sad, very sad...

The book was great. Props to Alicia Erian. Movie was great also. Saw it on HBO and Cinemax. It had a lot of layers regarding race, sexuality, and values.
