Ah, you mean the "telephone-voice" in verse 1 and 2 (not in 3!)? The Beatles used that first and others (Green Day fi) did this a lot. Of course, here it gives more "Peng", when the voice opens in the chorus: "Excalibur...!!" Like that! Don't know "In the land of". Is it that similar?
I am sorry you misunderstood me there: I wouldn't compare Veljanov with Frederiksen. Both are very good singers, each in his own field. I merely think that Mr Horn was working on one particular theme and came up with two different versions, one is this for HV and the other is "In the Land of" for DL.
I don't understand why he is messing around with the voice of his HV singer, that's all.
While I acknowledge a definite resemblance to the parallel Lakaien song "In the land of", I still find it hard to make my peace with the alienated bass of Joel Frederiksen. Probably it's just me, being a silly voice-person, I don't know.
Although I still like this song, I really prefer the "almost-Lakaien version" of the theme, then done with Veljanov's vocals, of course.

Can't have enough of this song. Can't wait for the new album. And "Für euch die ihr liebt" was fantastic, but this overwhelmed it big time.

Oh yes, I like the "peng" when the chorus starts. Anyway, I am beginning to like this song a lot.
Yes, in the land of is very similar as far as the melody line and rhythym are concerned - at least I think so.

Great! I love Helium Vola and bought Frederiksens Albums.
The difference between DL and HV ?
Veljanov is Pop-singer and Frederiksen sings "classical-trained".
Very good Song, and I'm convinced that this fits better to Joel Frederiksen, than to Veljanov!
