Beautiful strokes, kim is one of the best ball strikers out there. That's a western grip(not full or extreme western) and she holds it back until the last possible second, unleashing a well struck ball with lots of spin and depth with her great timing.

The extreme western grips are so cool to watch. Especially on topspin forehands. Does anyone use a continental or eastern grip on the tour to produce a forehand?

Also she consistently hits the backhand on the lower part of the racket face. The sweet spots on modern racquets are huge. I line judged for World Team Tennis and Jimmy Connors used a racquet with a sweet spot the size of four tennis balls placed in a square. He hit his backhand on the same part of the racquet every time: dead center.
