  • do a squat. you first lift the ass and then perform a good morning. that is not good for the back. keep the back more upright and use the legs.

  • Try some oly shoes it will help you drive from the heels instead of falling foward on the toes which is not good for the knees pause squating. I do em alot and didnt use oly's till I paused squated....... they help keep your back more upright aiding in drivin from the heels Huge differance

  • I used to squat like that, and it never felt good, I came across a Mark Riptoe video on here about squatting, and breaking with the hips.

    I dropped right back to 60kg, (done 280kg before), and did 6 sets of 10, making every rep perfect, addded 2.5kg per week just doing lots of perfect reps.

    I now, after 15+ years of training can squat properly, much harder that is for sure, however my knees and hips feel better than they ever have.

  • LOL you are only pausing for 1 second dude... what kind of time scale are you using? hahahaha look at video timer, only 1 second at the bottom.

  • nice set but it looks like in the later reps ur hips are going up before the bar, making it more like a good morning? (sorry if u dont want possibly wrong critiques..i have that same problem sometimes when i squat)
