trafalgar square use to look nice before they constantly had metal barriers around it. They need to get rid of them. I hate these barriers they are an ugly eyesore. the construction wokers could do with speeding up also in and around london. there's nothing worse than a short staffed city. it means the pace of maintainnace is slower. if they trippled the amount of workers it would increase efficiency.

Can I give my own tips>:

1. Get an Oyster card you relally get screwed nowadays if you pay for tube and bus fares with cash.

2. Definitely look around - not just the middle bit. What this man said is true, I think - London is lots of small towns that got merged together through general urban sprawl - that's why succesive governments since about the 1930'a tried to stop it spreading by creating New Towns, and shipping off working people there.. Ther's more - but out of space...

THe public transport in london is good value for money but not much else in london is good value for money. The transport system in london is about the best value it holds in terms of cost effectiveness. There are many expensive restaraunts in london which serve some real overpirced crap food

You just feel like you are in another world entirely. If you go there you will have a really good time and the people are so friendly.

London also gives you an effect of being in a fantasy world. When you wake of in the morning you always want to go out for an adventure. The best times in london are the evenings everything just happens to be very lively out there. The sexy city!

You just can't stop being happy being there. When you go to London i suggest you visit Canary Wharf as well. You will love that. Especially at night. I come from Toronto and truly enjoy the multicultural mix that London offers  much because toronto is exactly the same. Little neighbourhoods, the canals, the museums, the people, pubs and gardens - and yes even the seedier sides. The one drawback would be the tourists - but that would be you and me too.

I admit it. I am an Anglophile. i love every bit of the UK. I love the history, the churches and walks, the museums, the people, the pubs, the blackened bricks .. the theatre. When i have the money to travel I spend about 5 minutes deciding where to go ... Having lived in London for some time my experiences are not that great. It's quite a good place to visit but living there is a different story: high crime (especially during dark hours and knife crime); property prices totally over inflated; poor transport; can be very dirty in some parts; pretty polluted; usually cold and raining; not that friendly a place to live, can feel very isolated.
