  • This ring is incredibly small...compared to Madison Square Garden at least

  • Savage averted the apocalypse, because the WORLD REVOLVES AROUND HIM! Do it again.

  • divas should be managers like they were before..yes they are pretty,,but damn they are bad wrestlers,,well at least 90 percents of them are bad,,the divas who are really good should work once or twice per month but for now they are crowd killers ,,Elizabeth was the perfect diva manager, sometime looking backward is a good thing,,(sorry about the misspellings.)

  • Savage 80'S gimmick would have been awesome in 2012..

  • this shit makes me want to Slip Into A Slim Jim

  • does anybody know how I can get the first meeting of the Macho Man Randy Savage vs Hulk Hogan???

  • @WRESTLINGNUTT1 Yeah i've uploaded their first match, look for it in my videos - Hulk Hogan VS "Macho Man" Randy Savage 09.28.1985 Philadelphia Spectrum

  • @8EmeraldArcher8 yep it sure was

  • was that mcmahon in the beginning

  • Thanks for posting, great match.

  • that is an nwa ring

  • Good match

    1. The referee counted 3 on Hogan.

    2. Savage DID kick-out before the ref counted 3

    3. The banter between Jesse The Body & Gorilla Monsoon was funny & entertaining.

  • Hogan definatly kicked out on a 4 count not a 3 count. Jessie was definalty calling it like it was.

  • Yes. I'm 33. Yes, I will always be biased for this era (Golden Era). And too me, these will ALWAYS be the most SIGNIFICANT wrestlers in the history of the WWE/F. Greatest feud ever, in my, and many other's opinions.

  • Hulk Hogan in white, what a rarity!!

  • @ARBELL1982 Hulk had lots of secondary color schemes. Early in his title reign he also used turquoise with blue or white kneepads, yellow with blue kneepads and at least one other that I'm forgetting.

  • Holy shit, this was the first live card I ever attended, although I saw it on closed circuit in Hamilton. Even then I was cheering madly for Savage. Seeing this again 26 years later gave me goosebumps......

  • completely coked up macho man....OHHHHHH YEAHHHH

  • For one thing, Gorilla, I don't have a wife...

...and for another thing, my mother is tough enough to take care of herself!

    Jesse Ventura = Awesome

  • o ya

  • This is going to be HOTT!

  • nwa ring! 6 different colour turnbuckles for god sake! I hated it! in '86 they finnally taped the ropes to red white and blue so it was a litlle better??

  • I really like Hogans theme song too, and his white trunks. Never seen either super neat match indeedy~ Senior offical Mike Chioda ought to check that WWF ring it appears to have black cables as ropes and the turnbuckles look odd indeed. I belive this ring is not a regulation ring and is some cheepO Candian ring perhaps.

  • @JakeT7

I believe it was an NWA ring. Not 100 percent sure.

Maple Leaf Wrestling use to have NWA, AWA and WWF wrestlers compete on the same card in Toronto.

  • I went to see this on closed circuit in the London Gardens!

    Thank you for this upload!

  • People who diss Hogan really don't understand much of what all of this meant, when you look back and realize the wrestling world had NEVER seen a response to one individual like him before. Hulk Hogan was a living superhero to both kids and adults and if you pay attention to the commentary you can tell that this was all very new. "this is a happening" "listen to this ovation" clues to let you know he was changing wrestling FOREVER. Hulk Hogan for life!!!!

  • @1980Triumph Very well said. Hogan set the stage for everything that followed in wrestling up to and including this very day.

  • Did they used the NWA wrestling ring? Why did they used it? They should use the WWF ring instead.

  • I think I was there. I saw a lot of Hulk`s matches at the Gardens. I miss that building my brother & I would wait out on Wood Street and get autographs as they arrived.

  • @keef186 so would I, no offence to you, but their was the biggest group of wankers waitng there after the matches!!!!!

  • Is that date right? Hogan mentions Wrestlemania II; maybe he's mentioning it as being like the first Wrestlemania.

  • @mastermold2011 The date is correct, it's from October '85. Hogan must've meant "Wrestlemania too", not "Wrestlemania 2".

  • @dontchadaremissit Er. He was commenting on the feeling of the stadium. Saying that it FELT like Wrestlemania 2, meaning that it felt just like the environment of the first Wrestlemania.

  • @dontchadaremissit He said this is like WM2, not specifically referring to the upcoming WM2, but rather he meant this is like Wrestlemania all over again.

Great choice for the theme song. HHR&W FTW!!

Was this match part of WWF All-Star Wrestling which was shown every week on syndication?

  • @mastermold2011 mark out... you can tell its pre wm2 i could identify him at any year oh yeah! we are having a macho man art show in TORONTO this was in toronto oh yeah! nove 12 2011 white house yeah! i saw him 9 months later against steamboat in july 86

  • Woa. Never heard that theme song before. Kind of like it though. Thanks for the upload!

  • @irelandguy It's the theme from "Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n Wrestling" cartoon. He used it briefly as his intro between Eye Of The Tiger and Real American.

  • @irelandguy

"Real American" was originally intended for the U.S. Express (Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo), but then Windham left the WWF for Florida in the summer of 85 after they dropped the tag team belts to Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake.
