Why do you believe it is true?

Do you have any tangible real evidence to support your belief in it, or does it remain in the "i experienced" realm.

What do we need to be saved from?

Can you make yourself believe in fire breathing dragons, or would your brain need tangible real evidence before you could?

Would me promessing eternal life if you just believe change that?

Nope. No tangible evidence. It's not in the oh-so-very-annoying-that-it-ne­arly-made-ME-an-atheist-"i experienced" realm. You'd probably have to wait for a more detailed answer though. There's some good Christian apologetics sites on the web. You can debate in the Theology Web forum too. *I* still have a whole crap-load of stuff to read.

I'd like to know what websites specifically because there is some crap out there. Just so you know, the creationism/intelligent design/evolution debate isn't really in my league. I'm not qualified to defend creationism, so I couldn't evaluate a site like that. Also, show me some good atheist stuff to look at.

Sorry, I just have to interject here. I am a Christian, and I need tangible evidence. The evidence is that Jesus was in the form of a man and lived on this Earth with people like us all. The numerous eyewitnesses who could vouch that he performed miracles, died, rose again and ascended into the heavens is that 'tangbile evidence.' I read the Bible, which is proof enough for me, because I believe it. The believing part is faith, and the evidence of his real life on earth supports that faith.

You have to accept Jesus. That involves repentance (turning away from your former sins). You have to conform your life to the Law of God. It should be very easy, but human rebellion makes it difficult. I hope that's a decent answer.

I understand why many people would turn Athiest, especially in light of religious fundamentallism, and all the pain war has caused in the past...I can also see the benefits of having a belief and religion, in terms of morality, and rightfull teachings of tolerance, and non-violence, especially in Christianity...

It is indeed a good idea to quit smoking, i don't see the other good reason that allowed for the 'also' in that sentence ;p

Personally i see more benefit in 'law and justice' however flawed that may still be.

I have yet to see benefits wrt morality or tolerance etc in any religion, including christianity ;)

They do not or perhaps, can not understand that we as atheists do not believe in a Hell either. Which to me shows that they cannot believe atheism exsists.

You ask why there are atheists...and I think that this should be 2 questions, not 1, so here are 2 answers:

God is gracious enough to provide us all a way of living,moving,and having our being because of His common grace. You exist because God is gracious. You're an atheist because you're in rebellion against God.

Accepting Jesus isn't just accepting Him in a generic way. To accept Jesus for who He is is to accept Him as God and Savior. It is to also accept things about yourself: That you are a sinner and are in need of being redeemed. It means you accept repenting for your rebellion against God. It also means you have been made alive by God's Spirit, because right now, you are dead in your sins.
