  • what happened to locke????

  • @coralreff1 I'm assuming you weren't paying that much attention to the story were ya? At this point in the game BANON and the rest of the returners learned that the Empire had taken over South Figaro town, Locke decided to infiltrate South Figaro, so for now he's out of the party until later on in the game.

  • @cgris32x You don't need a turbo controller, Just rubberband to the ok button once you are at that loop part. Leave it overnight and you'll be at Lvl 30 some, nice trick during my times of this game

  • Never seen a turbo controller

  • @cgris32x Yup, you can do it with a turbo controller

  • I'm really finding this guide helpful. Playing FF6 is a little rough since I've grown very used to a faster battle style, but this game isn't so bad at all. I'm already in love with the story.

  • where do u get the genji gloves i forget where they are can u tell me plz

  • u have to say no to when baron ask u to help them. u have say to him mult-times, if u say yes at any part u will not get it. if u keep saying no, it will trigger the next part and instead of the gauelnt *however u spell it* u will get the genji gloves instead.

  • I don't understand why you're telling us to not over exploit... It's not like this game is online, we're not going to get banned by teh leet programmers who BTW don't even exist anymore. So wtf?

  • because it will make the game to easy.

An easy game is frowned upon by most serious gamers.

  • what if you dont have a turbo controller cause when it comes to up or left it just sits there

  • what a cheap trick... I LOVE IT!

  • I'm stuck on that vangan or whatever he is...BTW Im playing it on the SNES

  • Vargas? When Sabin jumps in just use pummel... Click ''Blitz'' then press ''Left, Right, Left'' then ''A'' to enter the command... You win.

  • You have a lisp.

  • ummm... k?

  • I didn't mean anything by it.

Final Fantasy 6 is one of the best games ever, btw. ;o

  • I used your screen shot to lvl until i got to the same health as you did. :D

  • how do you do those arrows that go in between others

kinda like this (/) closest thing on my keyboard i bcould do but you get the picture right.

  • You do it by pressing Down and Left or Down and Right at the same time, Aura Bolt is essentially the same motion as the Hadoken from street fighter games

  • so do you have a turbo set controller do be able leave and come back?

  • I do h ave a turbo controller but I rarely use it

  • where did you get the genji glove so early?

  • When BANON asks you to be the light of hope, say no 3 times

  • its not "power leveling", it's "grinding"

and by the way, grinding is never cheating but I would not reccomend exploiting this feature as it minimises the amount of stat boosts gained from Espers at level up... which lowers the stat limit

  • that and it removes the fun of having a challenge. so does stat gains in my opinion. I refuse to level up with stat boosts equiped and absolutely never use sources in games like final fantasy vii. I feel their current stats add to the uniqueness between characters and requires you to utilize the characters in an intelligent way

  • there's a very large misconception that uniqueness between characters is the main source of strategy, you could have every character virtually the same (like FF7) and still have to strategize in each character's set-up

you could try a "low level" or "natural magic only" game

  • yeah but with final fantasy vii you actually have to try to gimp your characters and avoid gaining experience altogether to have any form of challenge. FF6 and FF9 naturally provide the challenge through the uniqueness of the characters

  • oh dear, i have to deal with this again

the uniqueness of each character gives no baring on how difficult the game is

it's all based on where the strategy lies long term or short term... FF4 has practically (not absoloutely) no long-term strategy what-so-ever because every character/party is so strongly structured that there's no deviation from that. this means there is no way you can plan ahead on what abilities to learn and so on, it's just grinding

  • games like FF7 you have the long term in coming to the decision of what materia to train, but also have short-term in the sense of how to set up your materia, which in some cases is vital that you do that...

remember just because "every character CAN use every ability" doesn't mean "every character can do whatever they want whenever they want" you still have to set up your characters to suit the situation

FF10 and FF12 had very little short-term aswell as you don't equip/un-equip abilities

  • Banon looks totally mountain man in his party screen head shot...>.>

  • I don't know if you could really could call it cheating. how is it really any different the just fighting in the same area for a long time?

  • its only really cheating if your using a turbo set controller. Just hit A on auto fire, and go do something else. come back a few hours later and your level 60+

  • yeah I guess really it could ruin the game if your fight ultros at level 60 and kill him in one shot and every other boss for the rest of the game

  • if you play on emulator in warp mode just watch out for your gold. It maxes out really fast and when it does (9999999) it resets back to 0

  • I've never had it reset to 0 before O_o

  • well I had SNES version (the one called Final Fantasy III). I don't exactly remember if it was NTSC or PAL ROM though. When I returned from work after 8 hours of leveling up everyone was at LV99 but I had about 3000 gold

  • maby the gold was was unreadable like 10000300 or something.

  • no because afterward I went to the closest shop and tried to buy stuff for more than 3000 gold and I coudln't. It's something to do with assembly programming/game developpement i think

  • ya the snes was great but there was a gold limit. by the way what was the mixmum in cadian dollars anyways

  • ok me i didnt need to use teh trix cuz i uhhh yeah i over lvl jus cuz im ;ike OCD about tat ok not really but i do just over lvl at teh beggining of ff games just cuz tats how i roll

  • on the snes version, i did this with a turbo controller and let it go by its self over night and i was lvl 65 in the morning, the rest of the game was a joke of course after that.

  • In final fantasy 5 the blind status really stinks you miss alot of attacks.

  • There is really no need to use the Lete River trick at all. Gaining any more than 1 or 2 levels in this section of the game, will make the rest of the game WAY to easy IMO. I used this trick once, way back when, and it made the game so easy, I wasn't having any fun. I actually restarted the game to put some of the challenge back into it. No need at all.

  • thing of it is, the rest of the game up to WoR is made easier... but not so much in the WoR enemies get aloooot harder there lol. beyond that, I was just showing the trick, and 1hr is reasonable.

  • Very nice! It's weird to see Banon with 400+ HP.

Usually I try to stay at a lower level until I get an Esper that has one of the level-up bonuses like +2 Vigor, then I try to make sure that any character who gains a level has that Esper equipped when it happens. It's a pain in the ass, but pretty awesome. Especially if you use Raiden before he becomes Odin, I think that's the only Esper that gives a speed bonus, which can make your party obscenely fast :D

  • ya thats why I didnt' abuse the trick too awfully much. I only wanted to demonstrate it. in normal play throughs if I just want to mess around, I'll do that till like level 30, just set up the auto controller and sleep xD. but I felt an hour here was reasonable. also its Odin that turns into raiden :P

  • Cool stuff, my characters are a bit weaker Id say about lv14, but still I fight all enemies that I encounter which also helps me on leveling up. Btw, about sabin's abilities, all ive used so far was the first one, didnt check the menu that there were so many, I forgot to mention that on your previous video lol.

  • hehe :)

  • Another note. Suplex does NOT ignore split damage, despite being a single targeting attack. So only use it when you have a single enemy left in the battle.

  • Yea, I actually read on that before, and was going to mention in in the last vid, but I botched the blitz and didn't get a chance to lol.. I found it odd that it says its supposed to hit all targets? I dunno, but thanks for the reminder HC ^^
