There is a slight hall reverb, no piano hammer strikes and a clear bright softness to the sound. A piano recorded in a house will not produce this sound. Video was shot in a house. The piano you hear on the video was recorded in a studio or an empty concert hall.

For those who play this piece, if you listen carefully, it's not the usual version that 95% of the people play here. The chord pattern is different at some parts. The finale melody at about 3:15 to 3:20ish is one note different. His finger movement reflects he is playing the regular version. For sure he fooled thousands of people but not me and a few others who really watched and listened. Come on, if he was that great, just one piano video in how many years? I think he's a thief.

@TheDonutring You are right on this one. He did not play it at all. He just took someone else's hardwork and claimed credit for it. He thinks he is smart and can fool people. Unfortunately he did to the great majority of them. A dishonest person with the right skill will always await the right opportunity to cheat, in virtual world or real life. Worse, others will follow. Should this be encouraged ?

@XtraAngrySnowman hi, glad you also noticed the chords and chord patterns being different in this video than the version we are all too familiar of. I think he knows how to play the common version of this piece, as I can see his fingers are hitting the right notes according to the music sheets of the common version. But those notes he hit would not generate the sound that we heard. He just stole someone's commercial recording to be used in his video and took credit for it. Plagiarism it is.

1% of the people did not like it. Those probably are the 1% who actually knows how to play this piece well enough to spot his deception. Please don't call those people stupid. They are actually the ones who's got sharp eyes and ears.
If you listen, his fingers are not playing the notes that you hear, at many many places during the piece. Those 1% are masters, not idiots. Face it, most people are easily fooled. Geniuses are few and far in between.

Oh man, I really love this song. It's amazing how so many people will recognize a classical piece such as this, but won't know the name to it. I very seriously want to learn how to play this when I get better at piano. Can play Fur Elise slowly with a couple mistakes, I'll have to be able to play it with my eyes closed at lightning speed if I hope to compete with this xD
