That's what Elvis made his career on (in his case, it was his ripping off black artists, delivering their music with a white face, because society was too prejudiced back then to accept it in its natural form) The Zapp original is an amazing song, Tupacs remake is an amazing song. No comparison. They coexist.

and actually the real original isn't 2pac & Dr. Dre (well the beat is original, but not the hook), it's a song called "West Coast Pop Lock" by Ronnie Hudson & The Street People"...that's where the hook came from.
