  • roger was in the tu pac version west coast nigga

  • If you don't live in California, then you don't get it. It's almost like every county is a state, the people and the terrain differ immensely. Not to mention we make more skrill than any other state ever will period.

  • @dropkick5150 i just watched the enron documentary, and i beg to differ

  • @charliehustlenflow Enron and the big corporations are evil, but they're the biggest hustlers of all time. They might enslave us all in one way or another, but every american wishes that it was them making that money, and stashing it before Enron got busted. We're a nation of greedy bastards, and in Cali we don't fight that. We either embrace it, or turn into dirty filthy hippies. Period.

  • @dropkick5150 fair enough as long as you can live with yourself thats cool i guess. just remember that there are more losers in capitalism than winners

  • Comment removed

  • @dropkick5150 Lol. California is broke.

  • SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!

    ╭∩╮(︶︿︶)╭∩╮

  • @KenaniGuillory1 ╭∩╮(︶︿︶)╭∩╮ >> f - u dic

  • California has the yearly income of the sixth largest country in the world!

  • @buginchproductions Seriously who on this video would give a fuck?

  • to all u idiots 2pacs california clearly states REMIX read a little

  • How old is this song?... 1st time I heard it was in GTA san andreas

  • Tupac's version wasn't a "sample".

It was a remake- an homage to the original. Sometimes a popular artist remakes an 'unknown song' and the remake attains more popularity than the original. That's what Elvis made his career on (in his case, it was his ripping off black artists, delivering their music with a white face, because society was too prejudiced back then to accept it in its natural form) The Zapp original is an amazing song, Tupacs remake is an amazing song. No comparison. They coexist.

  • @LandonInFlorida Thumbs up for Telling the truth about Elvis.. Not that theres anything wrong with what he did, the problem is a lot of people(The audience) dont wanna get credit where credit is due. BTW Chuck Berry is and will forever be "THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL", Lil Richard takes second place.. Elvis doesnt even make Top 10.

  • @DonRMB

Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Carl Perkins...the real architects of RnR

  • @LandonInFlorida nicely said

  • @LandonInFlorida

The original was 'Woman to Woman' by Joe Cocker - this was itself a cover.

  • @LandonInFlorida ..Well said...Agreed.

  • @LandonInFlorida you couldnt have said it any better!!

  • @LandonInFlorida YOUR WRONG DR dre produced it, and they got roger on it!!!! roger is great, but dre is the quincy jones of our time!!!

  • @LandonInFlorida THANK YOU! Truth.

  • @LandonInFlorida

    this is not the original

joe cocker " womanto woman" this is the original sample.

  • @LandonInFlorida *Fist Pump*

  • @LandonInFlorida Did u know that is the cover of TUPAC's Version :P lol

  • the best video ever

  • Never heard this version, but I like it!!!

  • I think this is some kind of remix. The original that had the California Love part was "So Ruff, So Tuff"

  • I shouldve have known they sampled haha. Love both though

  • California's National Anthem...

  • @JazzMaster43 California is not a nation.

  • @JazzMaster43 california is a state....

  • @JazzMaster43 Makes me kinda want California to become an island

  • @JazzMaster43 California is a state

  • @ssbigdaddy76 now there's an intelligent observation

  • @tacubo01 thanks for replying to that... because I didn't write that. (I don't even listen to this kind of music.) Time to do some investigating!

  • Zapp and roger was making songs when pac was still in the 4th grade no offence but zap is the original and pac copied it i remember i was around when zap released it and i own the disc. dont get me wrong they both are and always will be legends in music history

  • @magnusszz

Roger, Pac and Dre collaborated on this one. Dre / Pac didn't steal anything; they worked with Roger and also re-recorded some of the instruments.

  • Zapp and roger was making songs when pac was still in the 4th grade no offence but zap is the original and pac copied it i remember i was around when zap released it and i own the disc.

  • i know tupac sampled this... it was a joke i thought everyone could tell.... i guess not

  • this is funky but no one can out funk george clinton

  • they stole this from tupac

  • @deeznutz235 they actually took this song and added it to his song (for tupac), since he has something to do with Cali, so they made it one of pac's songs, this is the original

  • @deeznutz235 this is an orignal zapp and rogers song

  • @deeznutz235 lol

  • @deeznutz235 lol get infos about that sonf before telling that please...

  • that 1 dislike is from dr dre

  • @deaddoor

the one on your comment is from me

  • @Aevincripwalk i didnt saw...sorry then

  • j'adore cette musique!! on danse dessu au hip hop et sa gere !!

  • RIP Roger and 2Pac world misses u both

  • @05tonytin Well, 2Pac died first. But Zapp originated this song.

Why is it that more people like 2Pac's version? So many people are hypocritical about their music taste, seeing that they blaspheme us for bragging about my taste in funk when they like the hip hop derivatives that sampled it. I don't take kindly to hypocrisy.

  • @SamuraiClinton nobody gives a fuck what you take kindly too.fuck up and suck a dick

  • @realdealent100 His argument stumps yours, I'd not talk if I were you.

  • What A Funky Muther Funker!!! ROGER WAS ONE OF THE FUNKIEST!!! Talkin' bout dat sumbody blastin' dem big thumpim booty pumpin fat strummin' drumin' booga bass in yo FACE jams! He was the quintessential Prince of FUNKTOPIA! And if you ain't from the Funk Planet you can't ever feel dat, So just skip to ma loo the hell on! If anyone think this track is whack, Pucker Up & Open Up, Salivate and Don't Hesitate 2 SucCK On Deez Nutz.... YaaaAAHH Dibba Dabba Doo Went In Ya Dummy! ~ Word.

  • How does one person dislike this? WACK

  • California Dreamin!

  • california is nice to the homeless,california-ia-ia

  • U GO ROGER WE LOVE U!

  • before Pac & Dre, I'm sure most everyone knows that, what I didn't know is that Roger & Zapp actually spit flows on this, that's interesting

  • @lyricalgod100 actually the raps are done by Big Robb and Dale Da Groat

  • @lyricalgod100

    how you couldn't know that...

  • one person is single in Delaware xD

  • fuck yeah, this the shit

  • old skool west coast

  • this is the 1st time i heard this track, i thought dre n pac tune was original! i understand i was wrong now

  • @RoyleTheo Haha, same here!

  • @RoyleTheo dre and 2pacs was the original california love before this one however the tune was taking from Joe Cockers song called woman to woman and the calling off the cities by Roger is from a song by ronnie Hudson and the street peoples called West Coast Poplock....And thats the truth my friend so look up those songs and listen to them and you will see.

  • @RoyleTheo...

me too bro, me too. haha

  • @RoyleTheo Take it from me... at least 60% of what you hear or consider good, or original music is fucking ripped off from artists who you never heard of and probably never made a fuckin dime on it.

  • @justmenate

i hear you on dat one

  • @RoyleTheo :-)

  • @RoyleTheo Dre is the KING of the sample. The thing about his sampling is that he samples obscure songs and not songs that were hits....like Puffy the Fluffy Fairy.

  • @agapereign yeah Dre shits all over Bluff Daddy..

  • @RoyleTheo the artists themselves proberly didn't want to use their songs but managers dont give a fuck

  • @RoyleTheo The original sample is from "Woman To Woman" by Joe Cocker..The line "California, nu sound of party..." comes from Ronnie Hudson's "West Coast Poplock"..Then this one came along, and later da Dre n' Pac's version..

  • @RoyleTheo I thught 2pac & Dre song was the orginal track to till I talked to my boy that stays in California and he said Zapp and Roger.

  • @RoyleTheo lol, iThought Dre & Pac were the original too.

    how wrong was ii?

    lol

  • @RoyleTheo very wrong but dre version is good cause its a mix of like 3 songs listen to chocolte city

  • @RoyleTheo They paid homage :)

  • @RoyleTheo they are OG.... a REAL tupac fan would know that Zapp made this just for him to use...

    stupid as fuck -.-

  • @310comptonero

from what i've read this track was before 2pac's, dickhead

  • @RoyleTheo thas WHY fuckin retard, you cant make a track after you already made it and unlike you i was ALIVE when that happened so shut the fuck up

  • @310comptonero

you sounding more like a clown da more you talk, before you post ya bullshit comment read it ya clown

  • @RoyleTheo shut your nigger ass up ll your doin is talkin and thats not what your bitch ass skanky ass moma called me last night hahaha

  • @RoyleTheo this one aint the original one Dr. Dre & 2pac's version is the original...this one is a cover of it

  • and actually the real original isn't 2pac & Dr. Dre (well the beat is original, but not the hook), it's a song called "West Coast Pop Lock" by Ronnie Hudson & The Street People"...that's where the hook came from.

  • my last post, I promise. The melody is from a song called "Woman to Woman" by Joe Cocker...

  • @MLHJ07

2pac and dre's is much more well known but this was before they're track in 96

  • @RoyleTheo nope pac & Dre's came out in 95...this one came out in 96

  • @RoyleTheo me two

  • oh this is great OOOOLD SCHOOOOOOL

  • I absolutely love either version of this song. With that I'm not afraid to admit I LOVE Tupacs version a little better. Such a kickass beat<3
