  • wow thanks .

for those who who dont know where the frets are where the chords are, just look it up on google

  • its 6th fret

you can see it at the start

  • its was just a simple question,

god you dont have to get all stressed out about a question from a person you dont even know :|.

  • erm well we dont know where the fret bar ENDS :|

    goon.

    dont fucking get rude .

  • hes telling u with the chords

  • lol

    it sounds good

if only we knew at which fret u are

  • the notes are wrong it's D#add9 D#sus2 G# A#

  • @17conr4do17 Your Chords are wrong to maan !

Its not D#add9 cause its on the 5. fret ?

  • @17conr4do17

Afraid your both wrong. First two chords are Ebsus2 (There's no such thing as a D# Maj scale). 2nd chord is Bbadd11 (With Eb as the root - Im not to sure which inversion it is, but its a Bbadd11)

  • what fret??

  • yeah i'm lookin dat to .. !

    he sucks

  • MEW!?

  • Wow i like this but i want full song pls, i will save to music file for singing.

  • thanks

  • Whats that guitar ? So small !! So thin !

  • electric guitar? :D

  • Ovation Celebrity

  • those chords are soo wronggg...

  • agree.!

  • i dont know the chords yet but im 100% sure(same thing on the first chord on the video but dnt knw that chord. wid the mddle finger on 3rd string "8 fret" leave it there for all chords) >trnsistion, then move the index finger (7 fret) also wid the "wedding band finger" & pinkie(8 fret) up one.. then slide to 5th fret. back down to 7 fret & repeat...

3 chords and middle finger stays on the 3rd string all times...

    there u should have ittt.

    CB- With YOu, enjoy

  • Yes is great... but the chorus part?? when Chris sings... with you, with you, with you, with you, with you....ohh girl??? which are the chords??

  • it dont sound rite dude

  • your camera looks like old school!!!!hehe jokes

  • @miguelsaludes it was. I used to use a really old webcam :)

  • hmmmmmm... This doesn't accord with what I read on ModernBeats Hit Talk, and those chords sounded like the ones in the song when I tried 'em. These ones, not so much

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • you start of with the 7th and 9th fret

then you go to the 5th and 7 th fret afterr

  • can sum 1 tell me the frets and the fingers

  • this is great but you could have mensioned the frets.

  • the first barre chord starts on the 6th fret

that should make it a lot easier

  • thx. simple, straight to the point

  • This guy has it right: j7avMoYE4B0

  • this is a really good way to show how to play.

    thanks. :]

  • that's just great

  • yo.. this is the best tutorial with this song man this is sick.. imma subscribe.

  • Tuning should be Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,Bb,eb!

  • people who says that its wrong, can u do it better ? =S

  • dude check ur tuning thats not right

  • check out Toxx93 's Tutorial, you only have to read tablature, and then your fine, it worked for me ;)

  • that was so good

  • wat fret are u playing in at the beginning?

  • did u tune your guitar up a tone or anything?

  • great. i really like but you should have played the chords of the bridge part.

  • Ppl! I dont think he is actually playing them. I think he is just showing the pics and what it would sound like. But Im not trying to be negative...but that doesn't sound like with you... Or what is that...A verse...The Chorus..what? Cuz idk

  • Actually, I was really playing it. The guitar was plugged into the laptop - and I only played the beggining verse and a chorus. I forgot to play a verse.

  • *did it xD

  • that was great. i just did right now. thanks for posting.

  • looks fake because the strings aren't ringing

  • It's not fake ;)

Thnq for posting this video !

  • it aint fake. doesnt it depend on ur guitar also?

  • Nice!...Can you please show me a link where it shows the chord fingering...that link u show doesnt work..

  • ur site for the chord list doesn't work, says missing or removed blog. =/

  • sounds good but u didnt play the chorus!!

  • Thanks a lot, never done bar-chords before so was kinda painful, but overall thumbs up, thanks man ! :D

  • thank you so much for posting this video!!!! You did a wonderful job. It really helped me out because I am a beginner.

  • hmmm i thought i understood...for example c# add 9 would be like...index covers the 6th fret, and 2 of ur finger would play the 2 middle strings at the 8th fret. i did that but it doesn't sound nething like what u played. i also tried

  • There are many ways to skin a cat too :)

  • I'd like to play this song, but i don't understand the fred you put your fingers for the bare

  • 6th fret

  • what does the numbers mean...C#add9: 668866?

sry i bet i come off as retarded lol

  • No problem, the six digits represent the six guitar strings. The number represents the fret where the string is being pressed. So, if you look at my hand on the video, my index finger and middle finger are pressing all the strings across the sixth fret, while my ring and pinky are playing are playing the 8's on the 668866. If you still don't understand, I'll be happy to find a better way to explain it. Just let me know :)

  • Oh, # means sharp, which means the chord is a C sharp. As for the add9, it goes a little into music theory and chord construction. I'll be putting together some really easy instructional videos on chord construction and music theory soon - as I find time. In the meantime, just know that it's a simple chord with a funny name. Thanks for your question :)

  • Sorry it took so long to respond. I'm using a barre over the 6th fret. Here are the chords I used:

    C#add9: 668866

    C#sus2: 668766

    G#: 466544

    A#: 688766

If you play the video while strumming DAGA, you will see that it just doesn't quite sound the same as the guitar in the song. But it sounds good enough to sing the melody over it - so I guess it could also work.

  • what about Gm ?

  • Gm: 355333

By the way, I'm putting together a website where I show you very simple ways to learn how to play the guitar, chord construction, music theory, songwriting technique... etc. Stay tuned :)

  • hey im a noob i just started to play guitar and im trying to play this song.i went to this site to see how to play the chords and it's different from yours...like what fret are u playing on?? help me out plz!~

  • what's the strumming pattern you use for this song?

  • I don't know the name, but I play it this way:

˅---˅-˅˄-˄˅-˅˄˅˄ for every chord during the verse.

Then, the chords changes double up, but the strumming pattern remains the same. Hope it helps. Thanks for the question :)

  • Awesome video! took me a minute to learn the song, thanks :)

  • Thanks. It's a fun song to play for friends and people love singing along. Enjoy :)

  • Could you use capo 1 and play D A G A instead?

  • The melody still sounds ok that way, but you loose the distinctive "jangly" sound if you only use major chords. Try Dadd9, Dsus2, G, A. Good question :)

  • actually its tuned a half step down! check out my video of it =) good job tho

  • You're absolutely right. But I used a standard tuning and played with all sharps instead. Either way works. Thanks :)

  • great

  • Thanks :)
