@MrJohnfisher81 Your arrogance is amazing. What do you mean I'm 'still doing boxing'? It's sport I enjoy watching. You make no sense you little shit. Let me guess you see yourself as a 'real' martial artists that 'knows' what a 'real' fight is like and only engages in activity that would be useful in a 'real' fight so you are immediately tougher, more skilful and more intelligent than anybody else and everybody else is wasting their time. You little prick. Show some respect.
Lol, the spear-hand/fingertip thrust was a fore-fist punch with a closed fist, he closed his hand for impact then opened it again. I guess that's why he did all the posturing.
@hwajuhwarang I noticed that too. Most people fake spear hand strikes on boards and try to pretend they have deadly fingers its hilarious and any trained martial artist knnows they are faking it.
I remember the days I did Rhee taekwondo and had to break boards and roof tiles... What a waste of time..... I wasted 12 years of my life doing taekwondo... I only wish I chose kickboxing/jiujitsu much much earlier
@kaddy01980 i have done rhee taekwondo in australia for 11 years and it isnt a waste. im fit and strong, im confident and im disciplined. maybe you just look at it with a negative attitude??
my words may of been harsh.... But I'm thinking of it in a fighter's perspective...not the perspective of somebody that just wants to casually train for fitness and discipline. I guess i'm glad that I did taekwondo at a young age.... it got me very flexible and give me great kicking skills.... But When you move on to other Arts.... there is so much unfamiliararity... and such a great disadvantage from what you learn from an Art like Taekwondo.... its good to mix
@kaddy01980 from a fighters perspective its a great martial art. i have spared people that do MMA, Jujitsu, karate and boxing. I dont have any issue throwing them across the floor. because what we are taught is fast and effective ways to stop an attack. it was never ment for a 15 minute fight. the whole martial art was built around 10 seconds. im not saying rhee tkd is The best. but it is one of the best if you learn correctly and have the right attitude
You just lost all your credibility by your statement....
Taekwondo is a 90percent Kicking martial art... are you saying that you would feel confident having a ground fighter take you to the ground on your back? what you gonna do? kick them?
Mate... your Young and naive... Don't talk to me about Martial arts unless you got something sensible to say
@kaddy01980 depends on what type of tkd you do. ITF and other competition martial arts arnt any where near as good as a military based one. our training is about 50/50 hand v foot. and yes i would feel very confident fighting a grappling martial artist. grapples r slow. they are very affective if they can get a grip on you. we are trained to punch with a counter ready. i have spared jujitsu fighters they are slow and cant defend when their grabs fail. im not naive i have had a lot of training.
@ghost15120 HAHAHA You are young an naive at worst. Sorry mate... but I don't buy your rubbish. Not to talk myself up, but I have been training a hell of alot longer than you have in various Martial Arts and I know for a fact and from experience that if all you know is 1 art such as Rhee Taekwondo... Which I did for around 12 years to start off with....Which is what you train in.... Which you can't tell me your training is any different than mine was..... then I KNOW you wouldn't stand a chance
You might aswell drop it. Its too easy to try and pretend your something your not on the internet and talk rubbish. No wait, apparently your training in 1 classical martial art has given you super abilities to handle any situation and any other Style.....How about less talk and upload a full contact video with an "EXPERIENCED" ground fighter/Mixed Martial Artist.... nooooo ofcoarse not. Talk is cheap. I would love to see you come down to my BJJ school and fight any senior
@kaddy01980 yes i know 1 art and im very good at it. you can train 100 years and still be bad. years mean nothing if you dont have the state of mind. i would be happy to come do a bjj class. especially since bjj is 95% ground and taekwondo is standing. i wonder why that is. oh wait shouldnt you be the one standing at the end of a real fight. not cuddling another man on the ground? i would rather have my opponent bleeding on the ground while i stand then us both on the ground covered in dirt
@ghost15120 HAHA your a funny guy.... don'y you watch UFC or MMA? How often does a standup fighter beat a grappler? not very often at all.... if your going to fight a Mixed Martial artist, you BETTER be able to adapt to the 4 ranges in combat.... kicking range, punching range, handtrapping range, and ground.
Your stupidity amazes me..... I don't care how good you can Kick or Punch, When you get taken to the ground and your lying on your back.... Your punching/kicking is now useless.
You can't kick or punch your way out of being on your back.... you see... its morons like you who step into the ring thinking what you know is enough, then you get your ass kicked because you are not familiar with All ranges of combat. Your all talk... post a video if your so good... and stop talking rubbish. I'm not going to waste my time debating with a Moron who has no common sense. Keep practicing your Patterns buddy while the rest of us are open minded and enjoy learning other styles/ranges
Keep on being naive and enjoy your false sense of confidence. One day you will see what I am talking about. Your only young at the moment.... you'll wisen up one day. maybe....
@kaddy01980 why are you trolling? and btw how often are you going to have to defend yourself against a ufc/mma champ? and besides your comparing apples and oranges.....grappling and striking? oh and another thing theres a reason why police and military have dropped grappling arts in favor of striking arts such as karate and tae kwon do thats just food for thought considering they engage in real life situations everyday and dont have time to cuddle and makeout with some guy ..its not the ring .
Trolling? Just because I am trying to prove my point and disagree with somebody who obviously doesn't know what he's talking about does not mean I am trolling... I would happily drop the discussion if I didn't get stupid replies.... such is yours also.... So you are basically saying that Standup fighting is all you need to know.... and its a waste of time familiarising yourself in all ranges? real smart reply..... you think real life fights never end up on the ground? ignorance
and as for Police and Military...? They Learn many ground techniques, striking and locks..... again... you don't know what you are talking about.... its only ignorant people who have little to no martial arts experience that make such stupid comments who havn't even been in a real fight in their lives.... but claim to be tough and able to beat everybody like ghost15120. My jaw drops at how moronic some people are
@kaddy01980 i said what i said cuz you acting like a total dick head '' entering the ring'' some people just sooo happen to take martial arts for self defense not so they can wrestle with some guy on a mat , and like i said im not putting grappling down but you should know its place and its not on the streets where you can get your head stomped out ive seen it happen before. your obviously just another bjj guy who worships and jacks off to the disgracies and is too weak to throw a proper punch
ummmm. No. you are dead wrong... I am a Kickboxer and WingChun fighter with "Some" ground fighting skills that I am trying to get better at....Rather than limit myself to Standup Solely... watch my video if you think I have no stand up skills
@kaddy01980 and as for police and military , yeah theyre taught joint locks and some ground tactics ....one of them being HOW TO GET UP AS FAST AS POSSIBLE on the street you dont want to waste time rolling around with some guy , and before you say shit like '' oh youve never been in a fight before oh you not a real martial artist'' ive been training in krav maga for 8 years now and am a brown belt in shotokan , and not once have i wasted time on the ground , its not a sport its survival stupid
Sometimes you will get taken to the ground in a Real fight on the street and will be laying flat on your back while the other guy is punching you....THAT is where ground fighting comes in because stand up skills cannot be used on your back.... This is where joint locks or chokes can be very useful.... You can argue all you like by dismissing ground fighting as useless.... But you are Wrong and ignorant...
your argument is still flawed.... I have never criticised fighting on your feet in favour of fighting on the ground.... All I have said during this whole discussion is that it is necessary to learn ground tactics to be a complete well rounded martial artist.... Its a no brainer that you don't wanna be rolling around on the ground in a real fight on the street.... My argument is that If you are unfamiliar, and get taken to the ground.... then you are at a major disadvantage
@kaddy01980 and the point im trying to make was that the other guy you were arguing with never said he wanted to enter the ring.....you made a HUGE assumption there....look im just saying that ring fighting and self defense are 2 totally different things now if i was getting ready for an mma match then sure ill take bjj ....im just tired of mma guys putting down traditional arts its idiotic and mma doesnt prepare for the street hell id rather take pankration that has actual technique
They other guy was claiming his knowledge in 1 art "Taekwondo" gave him the skills to be able to deal with all ranges in combat and all other styles of Martial Arts... THAT is what I was arguing against... I am not putting down traditional martial arts... But I will put down people who claim their Art is superior or that their skills learned from 1 art is worthy of dealing with an opponent who has skills from a wide variety of styles/influences/ranges of combat
@kaddy01980 i agree with you, i practice korean taekwondo, korean hapgido, and shotokan karate. And i believe this no superior over arts, when someone says their one style can defeat others. its wrong to say your single style is better
wow,, i break boards,, but thats amazing,, i train with GKR and have loads of fun (Y) this guy is like our founder & Chief instructor, Kancho Robert Sullivan (Y) x

k9ck024: That last one was not a punch, it was a spear hand. It should probably not have taken so long though. He might have gotten off focus for a little bit. If you are not totally focused on a spear hand break, you break your hand instead.
cool man. i train on the goldcoast. my dojang are cabarita, banora, elanora. u should get back into it. master rhee is changing the format of the gradings and there are some new changes goin on. but still keeping the traditional side
@Blackanstein I also do Rhee Tae Kwon-Do under Master Chong Chul Rhee, and yes, this isn't him. However, there are many schools and Rhee may be a popular name, those look almost like Hapkido uniforms, but I'm not familiar with many martial arts, so it could be some kind of coincidence.
@Blackanstein Oh, and if you ever see a Rhee Tae Kwon-Do video on Youtube or anywhere else, please record the information of the video/website and talk to your Sabum about having the video removed. It is important that RTKD stay a verbal tradition.
@RED280ZX Rhee TKD is a cult and they suck. They want it hidden because they dont want to be exposed. Everyone knows they are a joke and could never fight their way out of a paper bag.
@MaharlikaAWA How can you expect to be taken seriously with an attitude like that? If you feel that your martial art is the best, speak well of it. Slagging others, even if that's how you feel, only makes you look like a brute. If you want to fight, do some boxing or MMA.
@DemstarAus And I don't mean to say that those sports/arts are only about fighting, but please, there's not any point to being jerkish about it. I have lots of respect for all martial artists, regardless of their style, as long as they can respect others in the same way.
@DemstarAus So are you admitting that if someone wants to fight they should not be doing Rhee taekwondo as Rhee taekwondo in no way can help someone become a fighter?
Also I am a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo. This is not about whose martial art is better, it is about false concepts of self defense and a cultlike mentality in martial arts groups.
@MaharlikaAWA No, that is an assumption on your part - and obviously you're using it to illustrate your point. I'm sorry I didn't understand what our discussion was about.
@MaharlikaAWA What I practice is for the purposes of self discipline and if the situation ever called for me to defend myself, I'd have the tools available to me to do the best I can to protect myself. I in no way wish to fight as I don't see a place for it, but to practice martial art as a way of keeping healthy, meeting people and having goals to work for. I will not say anything more than that on the subject.
is this master rhee omg and yay junior black in like 2 days
