Hey, lets live on a boat and broadcast GOOD music to the whole world!!!! WHO'S WITH ME

  • "rock for ever" :) IM WITH YOU

  • @MissValerieMiller aye aye captain!

  • I heard this song about four years ago, the radio presenter didn't say the artists name. I just knew genre and Englishness. In a heated attempt to find the artist, all in all I've probably spent 50 hours on youtube listening through various bands of that era trying to find this song. I want to thank that presenter, my iPod is now oozing with great music that i wouldn't have found if it wasn't for him. After four years searching, I found this song 10 minutes ago. My happiness is ineffable :)

  • j'ai connu sa grace a good morning england !!!

  • I'm 14 and I enjoy posting my age on youtube videos so everyone can see how much cooler I am than my peers.

  • THIS IS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO ROCK ALL DAY AND ALL OF THE NIGHT!

  • They rolled back to Single parents , see it, see it knocked up, now care for it advoccy right?

    That explains the projectile vomiting....

    FUCK ME>>>> FUCK ME!!!

UGH.... whatever turns you off. That's seriously fucking FEDERALLY gay.

    How then did I win?

  • Who's on Hoover detail ; )

  • it seems like ''hello, I love you'' by The Doors...

  • @Alessia94Aly that song is from 1968, and this one is from 1964. Maybe The Doors were thinking about The Kinks when they made that amazing song.

  • @melloncollie777 maybe yes :) I love this song.

Mellon collie and the infinite sadness, best album ever!

  • Hello, I love you want to tell me your name?

  • I love this song ♫

  • I love this song :)

i just love bands like The Kinks, The Who, The Doors, The Beatles... all good bands have a 'The' before their name :P

  • @xxTheDoorsFanxx

    The Jonas Brothers <3

  • @Flippyguile

lol ok, maybe not all bands :)

  • I was listening to Little Steven's Underground Garage radio show a little while ago, and he was calling this song the beginning of heavy metal. Considering this was 1965 or so, he's probably right.

  • Doesn't this resemble "The Doors" song "Hello I Love You"

  • @fattywithadent Good Shoud, but it's also pretty much the same You Really Got me

  • @19KISStheSKY97 No the chord progressiong are way different

  • @fattywithadent Only a bit and the dynamics of the song are identical.

  • I can't stop listening to this song lately. I grew up in the 80s-90s, but I love 60s-70s-80s classic rock.

And yeah, I think The Beatles paved the way for the British Invasion (I'm a big fan of all of them), but these guys were probably the first hard rock band. I mean this is pretty heavy for 1965.

  • I don't care whether it's the Beatles, the Kinks, The Stones, The Animals, etc...

    They all f**kin' rock!

  • Better update that description box

  • are you kidding me the Beatles started it all there whouldint be no kinks rolling stones if it wasint for the Beatles not a diss it is a good song though

  • @big5622 and if you read Keith's book he doesn't denied this... Beatles opened the way and the Stones broke inside and put all the mess with Animals, Kinks & Co ;)

  • @big5622 I highly doubt that there wouldn't be a Rolling Stones, they might have influenced them, but they didn't create them.

  • the first song i played live to my head teacher and he couldnt help but tap his foot ;)

  • is it just me or dose you really got me sound the same as this song

  • @big5622 that's just you

  • This song sounds SO MUCH like You Really Got Me!

    But they're both great.

  • nice, I love this song!

  • @benn148 awkward moment when...

  • Play this song while cleaning my gun!

  • Comment removed

  • PIRATE RADIO

  • @WATSIT2YA12345 FUCK YEAH LOVE THAT MOVIE

  • groove motherfuckin' nation babies!

  • 0:23 Paul McCartney poster in the corner LOL

  • @Beatles64JL The Beatles.... An inspiration for us all.

  • In my eyes, Kinks were a better band than the Beatles. 89 people hate me for it.

  • @Aicxown Kinks are awesome its true, but they dont beat the beatles :P

  • @Aicxown I really never got into the Beatles myself, I understand why they're so famous and loved, but I'm just not attracted to them.

But I love the Kinks. :D

  • @MultiSplodge Know what you mean. The Beatles were the rage, but my first ever LP was the Kinks. I think they're real rockers.

  • what an amazing guitar tone that is ?!?! awesome fuzz

  • @tannerleudy36 i read somewhere that it was an amp with its speakers cut

  • @ramsay97 That's the technique sabbath used to get their original distortion tone i believe.

  • 89 People don't feel alright by her side

  • Book was better.

  • The Kinks Never Died

  • kinks forever..

  • This started "Rock"

    Nice post

  • 87 people are douchebags with no life

  • Kasabian remind me of this band so much, just with a hint of a more modern touch, both amazing bands!!

  • scorpions!!!

  • The Kinks are the BEST. They were so ahead of their time. Their riffs, solo's and all around sound is still being used today. Kinks 4 life!!!

  • when next to this epic song is displayed "loca people by sak noel", i have lost my hope for humanity...

  • Couldnt play this song on Guitar Hero when it was lvl expert :D

  • @Hacibeyrocks real guitar, man.. real guitar...

  • One of the first heavy metel songs in my opinion. Great one!

  • i swear i heard this on the bannana splits show once

  • the doors listened to this song in the 70's and we said OHHH!! HELLO I LOVE YOU!!

  • This song doesn't sound anything like their other song "You Really Got Me"

  • @macdaddylorenzo your right, they sound nothing alike, and there riffs dont use the SAME EXACT CHORDS either :P

  • I said to my girl "I want to be with you all day and all night". She said she's only available weekends and thursday nights

they dont feel alright when she sings

  • and i LOVE hello i love you (the doors)

  • New music: Basshunter is ok, I like rise against and some miscellanious songs.

Old music: The kinks, the who, the stones.

  • the boat that rocked brought me here

  • does anyone know where i can find 82 condoms and a machine to return in the past?

  • The Doors-Hello i love you lyrics and rythm sound just like this song, thats weird... Hello i love you lyrics fit perfectly in the instrumental.

  • @SantiagoUscocovich1 I never realized that! People! i attended an intergrated school on Long Island and let me tell you this: Black kids listened to all of these bands from that time at our school, and white kids listened to the soul group of that era. We all loved one another and got along. Maybe it was the turmoil of the times and we realized that petty differene were stupid and the thing we had in common was MUSIC! It certainly brings us together doesn't it?

  • 81 people do not like all of the day or all of the night. Death is an alternative.

  • Was anyone else introduced to the Kinks through Pirate Radio? (Best movie EVER by the way...)

  • @Vampfire96 pirate radio, or the boat that rocked?

  • @sometimestigz It's the same movie, just has a different name in some places :3

  • 81 people are idiots

  • 81 people need a slap!

  • I cant hear this son without thinking about "The Boat That Rocked":D. But still an amazing song!

  • <3

  • another good top 100 bands of all time might be the jackson 5 too!

  • Easily a band in the top 100 of all time. And probably top 5 and defiantly top 10 in the UK!

The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zepplin, SexPsitols, Clash, The Who. The Cure

  • @elvisfan22 Cream, Tull and the Small Faces blow that lot away.

  • All day.. All of the night... Johnny, la gente este muy loca!

  • I'm responsible for roughly 18 of the views.

  • I'm responsible for 1,000,000 of the 2,587,773 views.

  • Yes, they did a simulated witch hunt when it came out but they were blind as hell. I sit back and think how lucky I was to grow up when it all began at the age of 5. I knew even back then it was something special and it poured out hit after great hit for years. Unfortunately we'll never experience anything like it again and it's been buried by much mediocrity or worse.

  • songs like this never die out!

  • The Kinks were the closest thing to The Rolling Stones. They were great and all I can say is thank god for the British Invasion! Their music sounds even better today and it's quite clear they had enormous talent.

  • @714AD

Really, I remember when the British Invasion started, most of the DJs had polls from listeners and in the beginning the people hated it. Well at least in the South where I lived. And thank God is right that the opinions changed. Some of the best artists and songs ever, original and moving. Where has the talent gone, hopefully this cRAP and ga ga stuff is just a bad dream.

  • this will always be one of my fav songs c:

  • 2,581,183 views--- October 8th 2011

  • 0:25 that looks like eric foreman

  • This is pure sex.

  • u.u son los mejores¡¡¡¡

  • the url says lolz

  • once i heard the solo i picked up my guitar and searched for tabs

  • I am a little obsessed over The Kinks at the moment! :P<3

  • @TheChocolateLover94 Me too!!!

  • This song probably wouldn't crack the "top 40" today as appose to #2 in 1964, proving my point on how shitty musical taste is today compared to back then. NO, it's not just because "it's different", it's because of a lack of actual original, "musical composition" in comparison to copy and pasted computer beat songs that all sound the same.

  • @emmagene1956 While I do prefer this music from a lot of the modern chart toppers, I have to be fair and say music from this era was completely unoriginal, just as much, if not more so than it is today. The Kinks first single for example was a cover of Long Tall Sally by Little Richard, all bands at that time mainly did covers until they were famous and then did what they want, look at The Beatles and Stones. Then listen to You Really Got Me, almost the same riff. People don't like change really

  • @rezray1 I strongly disagree with you. Music from the 60's was COMPLETELY unoriginal, ay? Are you deaf? What about this "modern chart topper sound" of today? What is so original about trying to sound like you're a lame robot from the 80's? Music on the mainstream level today is a fucking shame, rez. At least the baby-boomers have this. The Kinks were great then and now.

  • Why is YouTube suggesting me to listen to the godawfully bad noise called "Loca People" while Im listening to the godawfully great song "All Day and All of the Night"?

  • this video is broken it only shows my views

  • That Boat!! I would've killed to be on it.

  • a retard actually said that the beatles are coppiying jonas brothers

  • This is what music should be...

    Fresh, energetic, and somewhat unpolished.

I think Pirate Radio has the right idea.

  • @Donariad Dude Why cant life be as simple as Pirate Radio :/

  • @Donariad i want an offshore radio station soo badly playing all the old stuff there is a suitable boat for sale on ebay shame i don't have £25'000 to buy it pirate was the way to go

  • they are very underrated, they invented Hard Rock!

  • "the onry time i feer awright"

the the lead singer a chink?

  • That's a half-century, folks.

  • Paul Gilbert brought me here : )

  • The Kinks are very kinky.

  • This band was fucking great, lyrically and musically, if they had a better label and manager they coulda been bigger than The Stones and The Beatles

  • 40, almost 50 fucking years later and still fresh.

  • Pirate Radio bought me here...... reminded me of the song

  • good job

  • a whole year now, my phone rings with this song ♥

  • How do British rockers kick so much ass?

  • @bspierce1022 We just have that sort coolness Americans dont have, sorry to be rude. Jimi Hendrix was cool but his band was formed in england.

  • My God, nothing makes me patriotic that listening to British music. The Beatles, The Kinks, The Who, Led Zeplin, Queen, The Clash, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, The Smiths, Cream (Eric Clapton), Joy Division, David Bowie and John Martyn. That's just off the top of my head...

  • @TheStrawberryBeatle

    Gee....that's all?
