Why do R's like to attack the only solvent programs in the Federal Budget - Social Security and Medicare? The answer is because they don't give a rat's behind about the budget.
The solutions to the problems include a balanced budget amendment, lower taxes, no additional taxes (carbon, VAT, health care, GPS tracking tax...), and elimination of Social Security. Several older folks that I know say the same thing. They'd rather sacrifice themselves and be cut off from it in order to save the future generations.
Government proves time and time again that they STINK at managing my money.
Boehner wants you to work until age 70 now..... easier when you sit on your ass all day in a tanning booth. He should get his tan while roofing a house someday.
