  • why do people think this is colour 'correction' it looks so unnatural. Don't know what films you're watching if you think this looks like 'film' Maybe home made porn copied 8 times on VHS

  • @billmacp so freakin true. So many people go overboard color correcting -____- I used to be one of those people. Thank god i learned...

  • i got a rode video mic and its so sensitiv it could pick up a mosquito farting

  • film looks like film

  • horrible exposure and post. read the manual.

  • Why is everyone so obsessed with a "film" look? If you wanna film look, buy a film camera. Otherwise, you're always gonna get a digital look.

  • @MSproductions23 Just because you have a film camera doesn't necesarily mean it's gonna have the film look. You can buy a very expensive professional filming camera & still get the home video quality you get with just a regular camcorder. Some big time film makers actually use cameras like the one used in this videos sometimes. :)

  • @celticguardian951 That is true. But honestly the first thing I think when i see a digitally shot feature is "Wow, this was shot digitally." The only film that has fooled me so far was Kevin Smith's Red State. Nothing personal against digital though, I love it!

  • this is not film-look.. lol many people seem to misunderstand it takes more than just magic bullet in ae ...

  • Da?

  • Interesting review / test - surprised how well the built in Mic did - however the RODE is clearly better with real stereo sound and space.

    Thanks for posting

  • badly overexposed, when has film ever looked like this?

and adding a vignette does not get it closer to making it look like film.

i hate it that Canon owners try hard to make there footage look like film.

    Digital will nvr be film.

  • congrats you learned color correction.... now learn to use a stabilizer.

  • Its too bright, you need a ND filter...

  • Not a film look. Should've desaturated some.

  • what kind of software you use to make the video become this??

  • Does not look good. Looks like normal video that went through a standards converter, like PAL-NTSC or something. Plenty of examples on youtube to get the filmlook from the 7D. Keep going, you will find it.

  • too much color

  • genianalno!

  • I hate it when people over colour correct and make everything yellow and stupid looking

  • so not film look.

and I'm not sure if it's really 24p.

  • @NathanCipher haha i agree. This looks nothing like film, and I don't what u did in compression but the footage looks interlaced, and doesnt really look like 24fps.

  • Болгарские фотодрочеры

  • фотодрочеры

  • Are you sure it was on 24p?! Looks more like 30. with crappy after effects.

  • @beatchildproductions it is 24fps look in video info.

for video info you need only right click on mouse if you over the video.

  • What lens are the best for shooting an action movie? Im talking about close face shots and a person running away from gunfires.

Please reply back! Really appreciate it.

  • wow this camera is amazing

  • Darkening the edges and heightening the contrast does NOT make a film look.

  • @4dd1n0v4 You obviously never went to a major film school. Read a book. This guy crushes the film world.

  • @4dd1n0v4 I use the same settings used by Philip Bloom :-)

  • @TheIndieVideo I'm an avid film lover, this does not satisfy.

  • @TheIndieVideo it looks nice regardless of the know it all above =]

  • @TheIndieVideo This looks terrible....it's not the "filmlook".

  • @TheIndieVideo Im sure Phil doesn't use the same settings on every shot :P results are cool though

  • @4dd1n0v4 can u give me a quick tutorial on how to contrast a video?

  • What lens did you use? Amazing picture quality!

  • @bigg1623 Thank you. It's standard kit lens.

  • Is it me on did someone fart at 1:47 xD haha

nice video i like the NIKON at 1:47 as well, besides the "FART" n_n

  • I'm not trying to down the video but what lens and settings are you using. I have been spending the past few months trying to determine what cam I want to get but the video here seems almost like a bootleg video. Like I said I'm not trying to sound rude but would like to know if those are specific settings or not

  • It looks shaky in movement

  • I got the same Røde video mic for my 7D. It's great :-)

  • 24p makes it look like an action film and a foreign film

  • Yeah I second that question on the audio! Do tell how you recorded sound.

  • DOES THE CANON 7D record audio or did you guys use a external mic?

  • @es89Productions Yes, there is an audio in on the 7D, so you can plugin a mic with a mini-jack. Like the Røde video mic, which you can mount on the camera (instead of the flash).

  • @es89Productions we use Rode Video mic

  • @es89Productions nigga why ahr you hollerin'?

  • @es89Productions and yes it does record external audio

  • Canon 7d was used on one of the MUSIC videos on my page called "YOU DON'T WANNA TEST THIS".

  • be careful with presets in software. shots look great tho

  • do you recommend the Rode stereo Video mic?

  • yep rode mic is awsome

  • @chingvang559 yes Rode Video mic is great

  • @TheIndieVideo plugged directly into the mic input or through another source, merged later?

  • I use standart 7D settings. In Magic Bullet I use blockbuster settings

  • Nice video man. Which preset/setting did you use on Magic Bullet. What was the name?

Keep on doing what you do :)
