when there are not walks or cameras the guys in the sort terminals are worked like dogs. I know I used to work for fedex and I have friends that used to work for ups. The standard is 500 boxes an hour. So injuries, burnout and turnover are staggering.
From what I've experienced the BS about drivers being able to change routes once they leave is laughable. I've made multiple trips to my local UPS & asked where the truck was or asked when they would be back so I could pick up the package they didn't deliver. All I've got was dumb looks or rude people telling me I'd get my package eventually. I cringe when they would deliver where I work. They throw packages like they were garbage. After UPS crushed my monitor box I use Fed EX whenever possible.
I work at ups.F&^k ups, management yells at u to work like a slave and the packages come down the belt fast.Thats why packages are thrown and stepped on.
I believe it is. I studied UPS in school, and all ups packages go through Memphis where they are sorted to go out to the rest of the world. I also have a friend whose relative is a UPS pilot in Memphis. I have not watched all the video yet, but Memphis is definately there sorting center. They are the first to come up with package tracking because of all this innovation. quite impressive!!
I run a home business and I've shipped and received hundreds of packages through all 3 carriers. Every time I receive a package through UPS or Fedex I always either see footprints on them as if they were stood on, or the packages are beat up so bad some times they even have holes in them. I've never had this problem with USPS priority or first class. I no longer ship any of my products via UPS or Fedex.

After watching this video, I'm going to put all my items into irregular sized boxes so that they receive special attention.

It looks to me like somewhere in Asia. Because of the water and the mountains.

You are thinking of FedEx. Had you watched the video, you would have learned that the UPS air-sorting facility is in Louisville.

USPS is better. Both fedex and ups beat the shit out of my packages. I've never seen a footprint on any of my USPS packages.
