There is no glass or camera on the back. iMac G5's dont have squared edges. The whole computer isnt even really there in the original shot, it is a photo of one with a green screen where the screen should be added later in editing. The green screen allows you to add any effect you want like color bars, or the original shot or transition between the 2. Easily done in Final Cut and After Effects. OK job for the poor cut out and insertion of the iMac

guys, he just told you that the computer's not really there. The guy who made the video admits it. And you can even see for yourself, look at the right bottom corner of the imac. He didn't crop the edges of the computer out very well, you can see the white background of the computer on the rounded edges. He just filmed himself doing what his doing and then put the computer in later, and removed the screen with editing.

He used a chroma key or "green screen" to create it by removing the monitor, taking a still image then taking a video of the monitor. then he simply selected the colour bar, and took out every colour that was in it. its rlly simple. The he added more footage on top of it with the minimized colour bars. it takes about 30 min to make, its funny to see how you people react to it!

All he has to do is move the camera angle and you will see that the monitor perspective does not move with the camera angle like it should if it were genuinely transparent. The stupid thing is this type of technology could easily exist today with actual transparency thanks to LCD displays. It would have to be backlit by natural light though.

That's pretty good. One thing that kind of gave the method away was that the left edge of the iMac's frame is narrower than the other. The other is that when you put the bear behind the screen, the lighting on the aluminum base didn't change - the bear would cast a shadow on the base in reality. Great job! It would be interesting to see what some good 3d work and motion tracking would do for this effect!
