same thing happened to me. I would recommend buying a whole new case altogether, because the replacement graphics card will also burn out in time. the circulation in this case is quite horrible. However, if you can't get a new case I would recommend a graphics card that is less then 10.5 inches - So the GTX 460, GTX 560 (ti), GTS 250, GTS 450, and any GT series.

@TackyNames I bought a cheap 4850 XFX witch is a little bit better than the 9800GT it had and a 600 watt PSU, also i added a 92mm fan at the back (witch for some reason gateway didn't bother with) and a 80mm on the side vent pushing air on the VC. Now i get idle temps of 43c and low 70's when gaming, when before with the 9800GT it was 60 idle 90c gaming rofl. but i do feel bad about getting the 4850 and not saving up a little more and getting that GTX 460 u suggested :(. I have this computer and it is awesome, I bought one a year ago and since then I installed Windows 7 and it can handle Crysis max settings 1080p 16x AA without a problem on my 61 inch DLP. I have not ran into any overheating problems like some reviews have claimed. I highly recommend it, Just a little pissed that I paid about $1200 a year ago and now everyone else gets a sweet deal.

yes i do know what a proccessor is and did you know. that dell has a CORE 2 QUAD. NO A CORE TO DUO QUAD.
