Dude, it matters little if your offensive line is Swiss cheese. True, the Eagles have Maclin, DeSean Jackson, Shady McCoy, Celek, Avant and Leonard Weaver. But it means little if McNabb is running for his life behind a line that is thin as a sheet of paper. The offensive line has to be strong and play instinctively as one unit before you get angry at the Eagles and their choice of Vick.

I am an Eagles fan, and I have to say that despite all the background noise about him not deserving a second chance and this and that, your reaction is priceless to me as it is the same one I have gotten from my Giants fan friends as well as my Cowboys fan friends. Vick will be the ultimate wild card this year. If he works out, Eagles are going to be EXTREMELY tough. If it doesnt work out, it really doesnt hurt the team anyway.

Dude, it matters little if your offensive line is Swiss cheese. True, the Eagles have Maclin, DeSean Jackson, Shady McCoy, Celek, Avant and Leonard Weaver. But it means little if McNabb is running for his life behind a line that is thin as a sheet of paper. The offensive line has to be strong and play instinctively as one unit before you get angry at the Eagles and their choice of Vick.

I am an Eagles fan, and I have to say that despite all the background noise about him not deserving a second chance and this and that, your reaction is priceless to me as it is the same one I have gotten from my Giants fan friends as well as my Cowboys fan friends. Vick will be the ultimate wild card this year. If he works out, Eagles are going to be EXTREMELY tough. If it doesnt work out, it really doesnt hurt the team anyway.
But glad to see Dallas got smart and rid itself of TO.

What it comes down to is that Pete Rose did something un-ethical that has to do with his sport and the outcome of games while Mike Vick's charges had absolutely nothing to do with the NFL or the outcome of games played. If Mike Vick was a champion dog breeder or something then I could see a valid argument to ban him from all shows or competitions but it shouldn't even be considered as is.

BTW i'm not discounting vick to make a comeback i just don't think it will happen. He wasn't a great qb when he was in league the first team. He will be an asset to the eagles because they can work him in the wild cat but those are like 3 plays in a game.
