@jamieschweser-agreed. Not to mention the libertarians love of a strong defense (which the armed forces are the biggest socialist institution in the world), the police, fire departments, interstate highways, the NIH, CDC, etc. Oh, and free markets? That means we need government intervention on monopolies, a strong SEC (which Cato/Koch Bros vow to stop), and the consideration of environmental externalities in the cost of business
For 10 years or so I regularly read incisive and informative articles from Reason Magazine and found them useful sources for info in many a debate and political forum, but alas that was back in 1985-1996 and briefly in 2000 something. I was wondering what Reason was up to these days, and sadly came across Katherine Mangu-Ward's poorly reasoned comments on Ron Paul. Katherine should apologize or resign. "The enemies of Freedom are cleverly disguised" at Reason Magazine.
Interesting that a libertarian newscast begins with a shot of the Statue of Liberty- a public monument on public land, all maintained by The National Park Service, a government agency funded by our taxes.
