i was at my dads stick fighting thing and i had some duct tape in my bag.so i pick up a stick and wrap it in duct tape and said it was a balintawak stick and i was swingin it around and it broke in half.so i then made a duct tape chord and called them nunchuka.i used them until i got some new nunchaku.and thats how i got started with nunckaku!!!!

You tell people to hold the nunchaku next to the rope, which means you have no intention at all of using it as a weapon (you lose the advantage of hitting at distance), despite the other "malabaris" stuff.

Please watch the correct way of holding Nunchaku. NOT nunchucks, nunchukas, nunchacas or any other spellng. The following video is from Master Mikio and should be regarded as THE only way to use them. Forget all this modern Westernised ways - use them correctly, and not for showmanship. Gawd I hate it when people bastardise the Martial Arts and turn them into a hybrid Americanised versions of what looks good rather than what is correct.

I held mine closer to the bottom so as to get maximum swing into them, whreas if you choke them, not as much leverage is rtansfered into the swing.

well speed chucks have a shorter chain and are less thick and the normal nunchucks are thicker and more chain which makes it harder to do fast strikes.

Becoming a black belt means you are a beginner - getting up to black belt means you are learning how to begin. A yellow belt means you haven't started to learn, you're just learning how to show up.

Tae refers to kicking, Kwon refers to hands and and striking, Do refers to the method of learning to use them. Tae Kwon Do is the (Korean) process of learning punching and kicking. I believe that proves you wrong.
