i've experienced the landing and take off's from Kittila airport. first time, the plane actually skidded as it woz -30c, but thanks to the skill of the pilots, he brought it to a controlled stop
In my operator flap 2 on the A321 is regularly used for take off. Kittila under our performance is a Flap 2 departure, as are the other scandic santa destination (rovianemi/enontikio or however its spelt). This is not always due to the fact that the runway is short, but often in destinations like this the runway is covered in snow/ice etc and therefore we need to get the aircraft off the runway asap. Flap 2 allows for a lower v rotation speed and therefore get in the air quicker.
Flaps 3 for what ??? The Take off it looked like Config 2 or 1 was used, Config 3 is rarely used for t/o, Also you can tell it wasent Config 3 by the angle of the flaps, There Barely extended, Looks like Config 2, dident look to rough either, Normal T/O
Config 2, only because kittila has a very short runway, winds were also heavy that day, and it didnt look too rough because of my camera skills (i'm joking)
hey sorry to be rude or mean or what ever but dude I've seen some of the coments you leave and I really think you know jack about planes...............Also yeah there is a big difference in the Buses between flap 1 and 2 this is clearly more then a 1.

Boeing757basher07 really the flaps are on number 2. Flap 2 allows for a lower rotation and there fore get in the air quicker.
