@anna1lily It's rather expensive to see some operas at the Metropolitan Opera House, however, there are often cheap standing tickets. Also, the Met has received a large donation from one of it's patrons that allows people to get very good seats (often orchestra), at relatively cheap prices, however, you have to get there early and wait in line. I'm also 16 and I've been to the opera more times than I can keep track of. Every production at the Met that I've been to have been simply amazing!

Fantastic sound quality. None of that screeching you get with regular recordings when she hits the higher notes. I'm surprised youtube hasn't killed the quality either. A file's got to get corrupted when you filter it through so many media.

I just saw this in the Civic Theatre, with Patricia Rucette as Madama Butterfly, and I have never seen anything more beautiful. I usually don't cry... at all. And I was a blubbering baby. Not very loud, but stuill, you get my point. I was so moved by her performance. Having a front row seat made it so much easier to see the emotions on their faces. God, I want to see it again. Absolutely beautiful. And I swear, nobody, NOBODY should compare this art to Twilight dammit!
