  • its good, but only if we could hear your voice more(: good job though!

  • You made it kind of slow, but it's not bad from a guitar standpoint.

  • heehee! I love this song. Actually, I wear fishnets just because of it! Anyway, great job. I like it! I think you did a geat job.

  • thanks!! :-)

  • The tone of your amp/guitar does sound good. Great choice of material.

  • hey thanks! stray cats rock!

  • maronn e kè schifezz hai rovinato una canzone

  • I had to translate this because I don't speak Italian, and unless I got it wrong, you're saying I ruined this song. I just watched your (one) video, and let me tell you, I'm not the only one ruining songs. :-)

  • how do you get your amp to do this?

haha i play alot of stray cats and its all on crunch and it sounds akward :/

    so id appriciate it .thanks!

  • howdy! if you mean my tone in this video, this was just the clean channel on a fender hotrod deluxe tube amp with a bit too much reverb. the IDEAL setting for any rockabilly stuff involves a delay (echo) though... THAT'S the sound you're looking for. check my too hip, gotta go videofor a better setzer tone. tube screamer set to medium gonzo > echo unit > clean channel on tube amp. cheers!

  • good cover, i love rockabilly

  • heya thanks Pelash! my 'too hip, gotta go' isn't half as bad - check it out - thanks for posting :-)

  • nice job! what are you using to get all the different tones? you definately have the twangy gretsch sound nailed, and i heard you nail jerry garcia's tone in another vid. do you use a pod or something?

  • i'm honored, thank you very much! this was recorded a while back, and honestly I don't recall if I was using the tube screamer or not. I know I did NOT have a delay back then. I might've been just playing through the clean channel for all I know. I don't know about nailing anyone's tone just yet, but I really appreciate the compliment :-)

  • look man im a big stray cats fan, solo was awsome, all the verses rocked and the chores was mad too, but the vocals gotta be way stronger man don't be afraid to blast out singing, good try though...

  • wow, very excellent comment man, thank you! i'm encouraged! :-)

  • Thats pretty good but the vocals where hard to hear. Your voice sound good it's just hard to hear.

  • thank you, wildwulfman! yeah, I agree about the vocal volume - the mic was turned off in fact, because I didn't think I was going to keep the version, but the song just took me over. :-)

  • Finally got around to checking this out. In the words of the Beatles, "Getting better all the time!" one suggestion though, I think you would be a LOT better if you were wearing a RED Fedora ;>)

  • hey man, glad you liked it! appreciate the kindness, and as soon as they give me a red fedora, you'll see it here first

  • lol, dude that was good imo for first take. You look like you are having fun, so it's fun to watch/listen. Peace.

  • well shizzam, everybody wins! :-) thanks Isodig!

  • That's so cool that you're into the 50's, Setzer twang thang. He's amazing. I'm not aware of a whole lot of players still playing this style. Keep rockin' this (cyber) town!!!

  • Thanks sneaky! (dave and/or hugh) - Yeah, Setzer's simply unreal. We'll rock it - inside out.
