I agree with Marc. Adults need to make sure the child is ON the bus, not in the way to the bus. Parents, watch your children board the bus, or do it on a rotating basis with other neighboring parents that you know.

Marc is doing an awesome job in trying to protect our children. WAY TO GO MARC!

RE: Prisioners right when on death row, the word "death" means no rights. When Polly was murdered her rights were taken away. The minute he was sentenced to "death row" his right are gone (just like Polly). He deserve nothing but death...the sooner the better.

I would agree that the more cameras are in place, the better chance to catch the pedators. But this might bring the opposition of drug-dealers and others...

I know of Jennifer Odom (she was abducted in Florida), and then weren't Ashley Pond and her friend Miranda kidnapped on the way to the bus stop as well or was it while walking to school?

Can anybody provide the name of a child that was stranger abducted from a bus stop? If so was it in a populated location or a rural location? Are kids abducted when they are in groups or when they are alone? Kids are abducted from malls with surveillance.

Would surveillance work? It didn't save Carlie Bruccia. It wouldn't be enough if there was a delay between when the drops and pickups occured and when the tapes were actually watched. It might stop some but if you want to prevent them all, more needs to be done.

How come he doesn't say anything about other kids who get abducted near their home? Shawn Hornbeck disappeared while riding his bike to a friend's house, right? Think of all the kids kidnapped while riding their bikes. I can think of two others off the top of my head---Amber Hagermann(?) (of Amber Alert) and Sara Anne Wood. Plus all the kids who disappeared near their home. Not to complain but why did he just focus on bus stops?

I know of no case where a child was taken at the bus stop. As Marc said to and from the bus stop.Tracking devices would work on a quick response,say if a child passed a given perimiter.Then parents would have to disarm devices to take child from area.4 million miles of public roads in usa.How many bus stops!

Ben lives on an isolated country road.You ever get behind a bus dropping kids off.One gets off here,one there.They walk down long winding roads.Parents work.Kids disapear out of their own beds in the middle of the night.Your research is incomplete.Kids are abused by their own family and friends,teachers and even law inforcement.

Thanks but what's your point? Marc's research is complete. Your comment seems irrelevant.. it's clear that kids dissapear more at places near home, like bus stops. marc's child was taken from her home.

(cont) i'm pretty sure he knows bus stops are not the only place horrific things happen. With so many missing kids cases with no clues or bodies found, could these kids be alive, facing depraved abuse daily, like elizabeth smart, ben ownby and shawn hornbeck? .

Also, a platitude like "parents work" is insulting to our collective intelligence. Please watch again...the proposal is reasonable and multi faceted.
