HI! I just put this video on my playlist: Based on Andrew Kramer ' LIGHT STREAKS ' tutorial . This playlist features other Youtubers like you using this FX. To get the link, go on my channel. (I cant post it here) There, you will find more playlists using other amazing FX! If you want to add more videos of your own on these playlists, PM me please! Thanks!
That is AMASING! Very very very good! Is there any way you could do it with multiple colours instead of just green (like it switches colours from green to blue ect.)
I just did this tutorial too and had the same problems. He updates the fixes in another lesson substituting using the light emitter to point and whipping it to a null object to get better use of it. Still you need to render it at 90 fps, then you can bring it in to another comp at what ever speed you want.
it looks good, but 45 seconds of the same thing is kinda boring. The pulsating is kool, but u need to switch it up more. W/ the iPod ad, they switch colors and people. Also, the music wasn't that great. Maybe if the speed of the video was faster and a more faster-paced song.
wow! it's very very beautiful, and mayb it can be used a visualization in iTunes or Windows Media Player!
I have a question, why is it that the "head" of the swirl is always in the center of the screen? Can it be altered? Im not a SFX pro so excuse me for this. Tasty video anyway!^^
Thanks! And it could absolutetly be used as a visualizer, but I don't know how to set that up. But it's doable, yes.
I set it up so the Cameras Point-Of-Focus was always equal to the position of the swirl. It's very easy to change that. In the interested of keeping all the animation automatic (so I don't have to actually define any of the paths of the camera or swirl), I could easily set the camera's point-of-focus to vary around the position of the swirly.
great video...any tips on how to do that ?? ....10x anyway and good luck

Yes, that's completely doable. I'm considering making another similar video, where the light beams change colors with the beat.
Janook 4 years ago
That would be sooo cool! I cant wait to see it!

Well, better is relative. :-)
It's just a little different, what with the beat having an effect on the lighting and glow.

why is this better than the nano ad?
