it isnt real to you because we dont have our affliction shirts on and we aint in a mount or we didnt shoot in,---it was just for a demostration (so it was slow)and the move is practical.Side stepping or pulling away from a weapon like a bat or stick is common,Escrima and Arnis does it.
One of the most important things when being attacked by someone with a weapon is to just get out of the way of the attack,"not there to catch it,not going to feel it."----evade and escape.
