LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad it was made… I have to make a 1920s project which I love and I was looking for a perfect song and I choose the more modernized version by Parov right away! @supergordon24fan I wouldn't say the song is explicitly racist, especially considering the era in which it was made. more like... it's not quite PC by today's standards. mainly in the way that it references/mimics how Asian cultures were perceived by the West, particularly in the use of "Amelican" and the line "ching-ching chop suey." Personally, I love this song, but I can see how it can be seen as racist.

This isn't racist, it may seem like it since the mainstream goes apeshit over small inferences towards other races like crazy, but look at the lyrics and actually understand them, she isn't saying any of these people or cultures are bad. She does offer up some stereotypes, but that isn't racist, racism means thinking others are inferior, this does not condone that message at all.

@voldemort2123 well, the song is 70 years old . how many people today even know the song . i happen to stumble across it . anything that has views in the million is because it's new , that's all . today's music is based on what radio stations play . music is shit anymore and they have no choice to play what they have and make the best of it . today's generation doesn't even know what vinyl record is. they just follow whats mainstream at the moment , that's all  .

I don't understand what you're trying to say. Anyway, matter of fact is that today there is far (and I mean FAR) more great music than ever before. Moreover, it is more easily accessible to those who are looking for it (Internet does the trick). The fact that there is lots of shitty music doesn't change the fact that there is more good music than ever before. And I don't even need to go to underground vinyl shop. I can just make a few clicks and get it to my computer/phone.
