In Minecraft I absolutely HATE when you die when you have Diamond tools and armor. Like you are let's say in the Nether and you die, your items typically could fall into lava and around where you died. All of that hard work finding those diamonds down the drain, and you have 5 real time minutes to get them again.

@docbg1958 Right now you can't. I spent well near an hour trying to make a underground house only to realize that houses need back walls. I thought the dirt walls were a substitute, but i read to find that the houses need to have a player put back wall, and i couldn't replace the dirt walls. I got super pissed, and had to form a tower above my now empty houses.

@DeadlyDad I didn't know you couldn't hit the middle of walls that are natural. You had to chip natural walls by the side, unlike the building walls. I just learnd that yesterday.

I love seeing this, even though I'd estimate I'm not even halfway-through (haven't discovered the Underground Jungles, the Underworld proper nor the Dungeons), this is WONDERFUL insight into what the game used to be in its alpha state. I do have to say I like these character designs a little bit more than what ended up in the final game, but still, everything is absolutely awesome and I love it to no end. Keep up the good work, Redigit and team!

The creators had put in a good amount of effort into both games. I always thought that Terraria was just a copy off of Minecraft.. But isn't the point of games to have fun? Both have given me a high level of entertainment that I love, so I can't even say which I think is "better" or "worse" and nor should anyone.

You need to stop being a cheerleader and grow up, quit bashing other games (with little to no basis) and just enjoy them as they were created to be.

@paragon119 You spawn in almost the middle of the map every time. You can set new spawn points by right clicking beds. You should get a message that says "Spawn point set!" If it works. Beds will only work in 5x12 rooms built with almost every material except dirt.

when you boil these games down there about survival but minecraft is more base like and live of the land and terraria is more explore the world and figure out the epic worlds, i love both games but they only compare at survival and exploring

This game is completely comparable to Minecraft. In the first of it, you need simple supplies to require torches (coal/gel), and you will need a shelter before nightfall, or else monsters will get you (zombies,skeletons/zombies,eye­balls). Once you are well sheltered, you begin your adventures to find ores under ground, and other treasures (dungeons/chests). They are completely comparable, have the same basic structure, but different branches, which leads to TWO very good games, but also similar
