AHhhhh there's Christiane Noll with the crystal clear voice. I always think "Emma", but I like her in everything. And is that Ron Bohmer, the phantom?
@Jangobadass Bud, this is promotional stuff from the show. If you look, it's the show's official YouTube page. This will never be publicly released, unfortunately. :(
cpgy2k1: I agree. I saw this right before it officially opened and I was crying even before intermission. The set was abstract, but I could focus on the character's emotions. In order to under stand broadway in the first place, you have to have a good imagination, and be able to visualize the story. I ran into the guy who played Tateh in a diner after the show and he was kind enough to leave his dinner for a moment to shake my hand and sign my poster. This is an amazing cast and a must-see show
@CleverWalker I have to agree with @cpgy2k1 - the set was truly impressive. Massive and magnificent, yet simple, elegant and not distracting of the music, lyrics and choreography - which are BRILLIANT. @LaCageAuxGypsy is right. True broadway isn't about being splashy - thats where you get crap like Little Mermaid - which sadly is where Broadway is heading. It should be about being authentic and bringing art to life. And this Ragtime does so BEAUTIFULLY!
CleverWalker--I disagree. I heard that the original production was more "gorgeous" and detailed; however, this was my first time seeing Ragtime and I must say that the set was quite compelling for me. It provided an incredible abstract aesthetic that helped me focus on the lyrics and emotions...I thought the show was simply put: BRILLIANT.

I am a huge fan of the show Ragtime, however this time around what happened to the gorgeous sets? What in the world is that monstrosity on that stage they have now??? I hope this is not where Broadway is headed.
thanks for uploading. I just love this music. The show is coming to the Shaw Festival - Niagara-on-the Lake in Ontario....cant wait!

@stitchgrl777 If that's true, that's so cool. I think of her as Emma too, and Father looks like Raoul...sorta. With the whole scarf thing. xD

@BwayBoundChristian Yes it is Ron, who played the phantom. He does feel more Raoul to me than Erik though. Just my opinion:)
