ABOUT ME #13 - Why PC Gaming Over Console Gaming

Just a question if graphics do not matter then why have a PS1 or 360 to play MW3 or Crysis2? If graphics do not matter why not have those games on a PS1? Same game you just loose the graphics.

@narsplace Graphics is not the end all be all but they have a great baring in todays gaming culture probably more so then in any other time in history.

@narsplace I think consoles provide those that don't care as much about quality but the fun factor a more available option but still graphics should be being pushed no matter the system.

Completely agree. I'm 15 and just began assembling my first PC this week. I have an i5 2500k and 6950. Pretty much it'll max out any game on the market. :)

@Ignopius Gone head with your bad self! That PC is going to be beast but just make sure you got adequate cooling my friend cause the 6000 AMD cards run hot!!

@TheComputerEmpire I have the twin frozr III model. It seems to have good cooling according to reviews I've read. Almost done building in fact! It barely fits in my case. I may in the future get a HAF X case those seem awesome.

@Ignopius sweet im 15 too. Built maybe 3 pcs know my main one is i7 gtx 580 in it and my other little baby is an i7 8 gb asus gaming laptop

I doubt that your friend's PC will be able to run all games on maximum settings in four years but that doesn't mean that he has to upgrade his system. You can increase the life span of your PC by simply decreasing the graphic quality.

The current console generation is so outdated that the console graphics are comparable to the lowest possible settings for the PC. This means that even an old budget PC is capable of running the latest games just like a console.

@Schweinehirte I think that it will considering that the jumps in graphical technology lately have not been that high from a graphical design standpoint seeing as the latest engines that have been developed still cannot be push the limits of graphical hardware to it's fullest quite. Granted there are games that attempt to do so but still I have not seen many besides maybe Crysis but I guess we will have to wait and see.

i think the xbox720 will be like a pc with windows 8 so im sticking with consoles ><

@mizznekoxfeko10 I doubt it Microsoft hs proven in the past that they are not good at releasing sytems especially with having to revise the current Xbox 4 times this generation because of either manfacturer error or problems that arose from the rushed launch of the system. Xbox 360 was supposed to compatible with Windows Media Center but how many people actually use it on their Xbox's?
