  • IRISH16 KING, YOU ARE KIDDING?

  • YOUNG MAN, YOU NEED TO ENROLE IN A TRIGGER PULL CLASS FOR BEGINNERS. DO YOU THINK THIS VIDEO IS GOOD?

  • This is horrible.

  • he probably just use this grip to show how to squeeze the trigger... so the hand wont be in the way

  • @sgtschmitty8013 I opened this video because i saw the cup and saucer grip... absolutely horrendous. This guy needs to get training before he starts trying to post up how-to videos...

  • u squeeze the trigger with the tip of your finger , otherwise u pull ur gun away from the target , this is completely wrong

  • Yes this is the ball and shaft method perfected by kneepads magie not for use in firearm training

  • wrong grip

  • I dont understadn why this vid has gotten so many Dislikes :s It seems grand to me

  • You're gripping it wrong, mkay?

  • you do that and you'll end up with sixteen shots before you fire a single shot

  • 2nd worst way I've ever seen to grip a pistol...

  • Mkay! SouthPark xd!

  • This method of shooting is extremely outdated.

  • yea my brothers 4 years old and knows that

  • the way hes holding it is a no no bc that's tea cupping the gun with makes it jam more often

  • r u kidding me! you totally suck dude go back to airsoft or animal balloons.

  • you guys didnt read the fine print! 'Hollywood Style'

  • I dont believe this guy is that stupid to have a grip such as that. I actually think he does it so he can show you how to work the trigger. It still looked bad though.

  • Yes I agree the saucer cup grip is terrible. You need to get those two hands wrapped around. Also your using the joint for a SA pull that should only be for DA pull. Do NOT listen to this guy.

  • He's using a revolver grip on a semi auto. He's using the joint of his finger instead of the correct way of using the pad of your finger. There's so much wrong here it's unbelievable!!!

  • why is he allowed to touch a gun?

  • im 16 and i know he's doing soooo many wrong things....

  • Did the guy just put his finger inside the chamber?

  • @petruz1993 WUz bout to comment on that

  • OMG ! Really ! Please do not copy this grip. We have another classic case of tea cup syndrome.

  • This is just "slow-steady-squeeze". Grip is horrible, but its just so he can show to the camera how to squeeze the trigger. I'm a Marine and everything he wanted to demonstrate looked fine to me.

Also, yes I'm an Expert as well. Shot high Expert on Table 1 and Perfect on Table 2, 2 years in a row. (I'm a Lance)

  • this is entirely wrong...literally everything about this, it looks like this guy learned how to fire a firearm from watching movies

  • This guy appears to have never handled a gun prior to shooting the video! He is so wrong on so many levels. Please disregard this video as nothing more than garbage,

  • easy easy :))))))

  • In the first 20 seconds the demonstrator A: put his finger in the chamber (your eyes work I assume); B: flagged the camera operator.

    ...teacup.

  • he's working for the terrorist it's a trap

  • Sad... that's 211 dead people...

  • His grip sucked. Teacupping is one of the worst things to do for accuracy. However, I believe he was holding it like that so we could see the trigger.

  • its like learning how to fire a gun from Mr. Mackie

  • Nooo! horrible stance, his finger placement is all wrong, bag triiger squeeze, horrible grip. Expert Village your going to get someone killed or hurt take down this video

  • Too much finger on the trigger, "Tea Cup" grip, out-dated 'Weaver' Stance, weapon is too small for his hand. THIS IS A ***BAD*** VIDEO!!! THE SO-CALLED "EXPERT" KNOWS NOTHING!!!

'Expert Village' should be ashamed of themselves and remove this video, not only because they are putting peoples lives in danger, but also so they don't get sued!!!

  • lol he fingers his barrel to check it, bad hold on the gun

  • FAIL

  • i dont think this guy has ever actually fired a gun before. at least not a real one, maybe this is how it works when playing cops and robbers with cap guns in the back yard when you're 8 but both his grip and trigger technique will all but guarantee a missed shot. hopefully it wasn't a shot that your life depended on.

  • @TheEPICHEZ That's a great thing to tell a newbie. "Don't worry about accidentally blowing your toes off, as long as it shoots." Great advise. -_-

  • @scootercrunch11

i meant the pulling the trigger

  • I hope he was using that grip so people can see the trigger better..even though the trigger technique was not that great either.

  • wow thats the worst grip ive ever seen in my life!!! and you dont use the middle knuckle of ur finger you use the pad!!!

  • Way to wear your firing pin. Didn't they teach you to not dry fire a weapon?

  • Anyone can post to You Tube, this is clearly an example of someone posting the wrong way of doing something.

  • This is exactly how NOT to shoot a hangun

  • Woah Woah Woah, your telling me you pull the trigger to the rear? Good thing I watched this video or I would never have figured out how to shoot.

  • I think if you need to watch a video on how to shoot a gun you should not be allowed to have a gun.

  • I think they got the title wrong.

  • This is why we can't have nice things...

  • Tea cup grip and finger is at first joint. Bad technique.

  • i had a better technique before i knew anything i know now

  • that was absolute amature technique, the grip was straight out of a bad 1940's movie

and way to much finger on the trigger. He really should go to a Firearms school before he makes another video

  • @IAwzm no think he meant instead of a full 7" he only had 3 1/2" or in other words half....

  • @atfyakuza1976 i know lol is over used on the internet and has completely lost its original intent and meaning...but when i read your post about "watching someone rape a puppy!!!" i LITTERALLY laughed out loud. ahhh thanks that was good. PS that guy is using WAAAY too much finger on his trigger pull and it will pull his impacts to the right (looks like he was a south paw)

  • @amyhuk Im here to please :P yeah that guys whole technique is major Fail!

  • also.. are you related to Mr. Mackie, mmkay? "this is improper technique, mmkay? ..just wait a sec while i molest the slide release, mmkay? ..now watch carefully as i put WAY too much finger on the trigger, mmkaayyy?"

  • How to Shoot a Semi-Automatic Handgun for dummies.....sorry BY DUMMIES

  • expert village idiot...

  • You don't put your hand underneath the gun

  • Ive seen air soft videos more interesting .

  • Expertvillage is the BIGGEST HOAX in the history of Youtube !

  • This is a video on how NOT to hold a pistol.

  • I hate when I forget to breathe.

  • LEARN TO HOLD A HANDGUN

  • cup and saucer???

  • This is really really wrong. Do not hold a pistol like this. This is called the "Tea Cup" method (your bottom hand is like the saucer and the "strong hand" and pistol sit on the saucer like a tea cup).

The proper way is to grip the pistol with your strong hand, then take your weak hand and get as much of your palm onto any empty space remaining on the grip of the pistol. Wrap your weak hand fingers around the fingers of your strong hand and point your thumbs forward toward the target.

  • COME ON GUYS, GIVE THE PRO A BIG CLAP FOR A JOB WELL DONE! AMATEUR PEOPLE COMMENT ON THE INTERNET, THAT'S WHY I HATE TEACHING AMATEUR WHO THOUGHT THEY KNOW EVERYTHING!

  • Tea Cup grip on a modern Auto.....LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Wow so that's to pull a trigger huh? Do you have any other informative videos like "how to open a door" or "how to put a hat on"?

  • i wander, how many invisible commies he shot with unloaded gun?

  • Thats a USP .45 right?

  • what is he an infant, "that's how you pull the trigger". Thanks Da Vinci, breaking some new ground there huh? This video embarrasses me and I didn't make it.

  • If anyone really wants to learn proper shooting techniques, look up Todd Jarrett. The guy in this vid looks like he learned to shoot from the movies. Amazing.. Expert???

  • everyone can shoot a gun when it comes down to it, so this is just a load of crap.

  • Comment removed

  • the hell is this guy talking about?

  • there is a reason the ''cup and saucer'' grip is no longer used

  • i like the part where he puts it on half-cock by pulling the trigger

  • @BigDogStoryTime yeah, people should allways manually pulled the hammer down when they half cock a pistol... i bet this video would be a lot better if he had a "half cock", like his gun.

  • Sorry - terrible grip. How do people get to post vid's under the so called "expert village" name when they know nothing?

  • I am sorry...Even I have only played air-soft pistol so far, I still know that you method is not correct and not effective...

  • Dude!?!? Really??

Get yourself some proper training from a QUALIFIED instructor.

    Your sure ain't.

PS Thanks for reminding me to breathe. Do you have ANY idea what

breathing has to do with shooting?

While you're at it, in the YouTube search box, type in

    HOW TO SHOOT A PISTOL.

And maybe, just MAYBE, you'll get a clue.

Or, run to the ATM, withdraw a bunch of money, and BUY a clue.

Are all the other "EXPERTS" in your village as expert as you?

  • @Utube490 you arent supposed to shoot while breathing. you breathe....pause....breathe.....long pause shoot.....breathe. if you are inhaling or exhaling during the shot it will go WAAAY off. some people hold their breath. i prefer to exhale shoot then start breathing again.

  • @amyhuk dont you know...he is an expert at missing the target... my son use to close his eyes when I was first teaching him to shoot his .22 when he was little--- this is the video of the next step after keeping your eyes open.

  • I'm not* not I'm talking

  • Of 209 people who "liked" this video... 128 promptly went out and shot someone trying to put their handgun on half-cock using the trigger pull method with a loaded mag. 59 shot themselves employing the "turn the gun around with finger on trigger and work the slide release ackwardly with off hand" technique. The 22 remaining held their handgun like a 1970s Streets of San Francisco episode on a live range and were laughed off, never to be seen again.

  • @Cartmanland98 LOL for the SECOND time i litterally laughed out loud reading these comments. this thread is GOLD. comedic GOLD "1970s streets of San Francisco episode" brilliant m8 brilliant.

  • Pull the trigger thats a bit more simple

  • Cup and saucer grip and using damn near to his second joint of his trigger finger. None of the instructors I know of teach that. I sure as hell wouldn't.

  • Any major malfunction with the gun and your hand will be toast.

  • its simplisity itself, you point it at who you want to see dead

  • @Soky270 ya their name is sarcastic i think. all of their videos on everything are terrible. xD

  • @Ronald3570 I'm starting to think you're right.

  • I have never seen a worse video of how to shoot. This guy is teaching all the wrong things. Bad trigger finger placement, poor grip on the pistol, etc.....Just completeley wrong. He has no business teaching anything let alone how to shoot a pistol. I hate to see this type of mis-information. Please remove this video from youtube.

  • Is he drunk or just stupid. bad advice.

  • ....mmkay

  • I was all ways taught, breath in, take the trigger to the 'bite point' breath out, squeeze with the very tip of your finger, let the shot follow through, release the triger back to the bite point, and then let go, to prevent snatching.

  • cup a saucer are you for real were did you learn this from an 80s shoot em up movie

  • wrong way wrong bad technique have to say and you are just hitting the trigger theres something called trigger reset it gives you better control over the shots and not goinng all over the place

  • wrong way wrong bad technique have to say

  • Comment removed

  • @frontsightDG

In his defense...I think I know what happened here.

I would agree with you, but I think this video was just talking about trigger squeeze, not grip. In order to show that trigger, he had to move his support hand out of the way for the camera.

  • @frontsightDG Did you just say a Marine Veteran that has been shooting firearms has a bad technique? I think YOU have the bad technique.

  • @frontsightDG agreed. He ought to be using the pad of his finger instead of putting his trigger finger all the way through the trigger guard.

  • @calpoly12000 Oh and what everyone else was saying too. Cup and saucer form for holding a firearm is sooooo outdated.

  • "This next segment, is going to be on a twirt triggert sqweeze, mmkay?"

  • Don't teacup it!!!!

  • A little constructive criticism rather than just berating....I see the credentials, but I know a lot of Marines, one of them was even a combat firearms instructor and I don't think they teach a grip like that! From my experience, that is a very weak grip which could lead to "limp wristing" and a FTF (failure to feed). If you watch some of the pros you will see a much more stable and repeatable grip that will lead to greater accuracy and faster follow up shots...

  • Dear ExpertVillage,

Your village idiot has escaped and is producing gun videos on YouTube.

    Sincerely,

    Concerned Gun Owners.

  • Trigger pull was wrong...

  • please, erase this video....

  • HE IS LEFT HANDDED!!!

  • hahaha hahahahaha this is just hahaha

  • cup and saucer grip

    FAIL

  • He looks like Julian from Trailer Park Boys ! :)

  • @FragsGame i thought it was for the first couple of seconds

  • ricky bobby during interviews has better hand placement then this guy with a gun.

  • redo the title

  • How the hell did you get a weapon?

  • not trying to down the guy but this video sucks, it shows not but improper technique (saying that the cup and saucer has no recoil control what so ever!) and you shouldnt wrap your finger around the trigger ever, ( it tends to pull your shots all different directions!)

  • "Mkay"

  • everything about this video is the opposite of what I have been taught. Finger wrap, teacup, and all of his terminology.

  • Hahahahaahah!

  • teacup hold lol

  • the title should be How Not to Shoot a Semi-automatic Handgun.

  • I think he confused this with his tutorial on how to cup your balls.

  • PLEASE DO A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO USE A GRENADE!

    ...use a live one.

  • @tambay1ang ROFL COPTER!!!!! ur friggin hilarious!!!

  • don't watch this.... this will get u killed!

  • more like village fool

  • He Shots With Hes Hands Undwr The Gun He fails

  • you do not know what you are doing. ( do you )

  • Poor trigger finger control

  • if you can hit your target over and over again, i don't give a rats foot what your grip is.

  • People...this is a gun....this is the trigger, this is the hammer...this is a bullet....what a worthless video

  • Wow I came on here looking for a video to teach my gf how to shoot... Instead I found a what not to do video. I can't believe what a fuking tool this guy is. He learned how to shoot from some 80's cop show i bet. ALL WRONG.

  • You gotta be kidding me... If you had ammo, you'd probably be dead now.

  • You may want to get some lessons on how to hold a handgun before you make a video on how to shoot one. What's up with that grip. Wow.

  • 1st step: point gun directly at face...

  • Next expertvillage video, How to use the toilet...

  • There isn't a single accurate piece of information in this entire video. Use of the slide lock on an empty mag, improper grip, improper trigger squeeze, outdated stance, poor gun handling, incorrect terminology... Seriously, this is a spoof, right?

  • WHY IS HE USING HIS FIRST KNUCKLE?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

  • youre holoding it wrong, n00p.

  • This video should be removed!!! I guess the Village people will let anyone show anything they want....Idiots!

  • @camincolorado he's one of the "village idiots". =))

  • Expert Village? Seriously? Anybody who's been shooting for more than two days knows that you don't hold a handgun like that. And you definitely never HOOK your finger on the trigger like this guy does. Thumbs forward grip is the only way to go and the flat of your trigger finger between the tip and the first knuckle should be on the trigger. You should never position the trigger in the "crook" of the first knuckle on your trigger finger. Who made this guy an Expert???

  • i want to know how to use different kinds of fire arms,

  • I learned nothing tnx

  • hes a tea cup

  • All wrong. Don't place your support hand under the grip. Don't pull the trigger with the joint of your finger. Keep your forearm parallel to your barrel.

  • rofl wowowowoowowowow how to shoot a pistol

  • Awful.

  • alot of people give you crap, but dontt let em get to you. i agree that your pistol grip and som other things are lacking but that just means you need to be instructed on the proper way too do them if you have any questions let me know and i can do a simple instruction vid for you. i am trying to become an instructor and i know the difficulty in teaching others, for most people think their way is best. i will show you what i have found to work for me and others thanx, please reply

  • NOTE to Viewer

Please do not listen to this man!

    he is wrong!

  • There are so many things wrong with this guy's technique, it's not even worth listing them all.

  • Not a video for a new shooter to watch....too many bad habits too list.

  • What village in hell are these idiots considered "experts"?

  • Great example of a "Douche".

  • 45 sec. The only thing that should touch the trigger is the tip of your finger, Not the middle.

  • @kameng12 True for a rifle not a pistol. A right handed shooter shooting with the tip has a higher tendency to shoot left. Most common solution is to add more finger to the trigger. Look up corrective targets.

  • Expert: John Ritenour

Bio: John Ritenour has been target shooting for the past nine years. He qualified as a double expert in the U.S. Marine Corps with the Beretta M92 pistol and the M16 rifle, and he teaches handgun classes.

    Filmmaker: Antar Hanif

  • If i said American i have said all ahahahaha

  • My wife could teach better than this. Stop wasting air and bandwith.

  • what kind of pistol is that????

  • @m1mthaworld H&K USP,seems to be a Compact.

  • There is no way he learned how to shoot in the marine corps... and I am scared for anyone who takes his handgun classes. Please do not follow his advice!

  • Gripping the gun wrong.

Finger position on the trigger way wrong.

Look up some Tod Jarrett shooting videos, for a real expert that knows what he doing.

  • if your using a real gun your a idiot! stop dry fireing it!!!!!!!!!

  • MUZZLE

  • I had a strong urge to gouge my eyes out with a pencil after watching this video. Absolutely horrendous.

May God have mercy on your soul.

  • Terrible. Incorrect grip, finger placement on trigger is wrong, using Weaver Stance which is outdated, etc.. Do not learn how to shoot from this guy...

  • Dry fire is bad for rim fire pistols like the Ruger MK2. They have a delicate firing pin. Dry fire is a very affective training tool especially when used with lasers or laser pistols like the SIRT training pistols. If you are worried about the firing pin use snapp caps.

  • Expert village - please put a disclaimer on this before someone accidentally hurts somebody- this guy is only an expert in his own mind

  • @IAwzm No, i'm pretty sure dry firing is bad regardless of the firearm.

  • @TheBuckpole wrong

  • @soldsco99 If you really think that dry firing a weapon is good in any way, you're the one whose wrong. Consistent dry firing of any weapon, over time, will degrade the structural integrity of the firing pin. thus leading the breaking of a firing pin.

  • @TheBuckpole Wow you really don't have a clue. It is really dependent upon the weapon. For example the M-16 had a design requirement for unlimited dry firing. You aren't going to hurt a Glock, Springfield XD or Smith M&P unless you are dry firing 1000 times a day every day at which point you are going to go insane anyway. Ruger even has it posted on their website that its OK.

  • No this is not correct
