  • when i was born i was 1 pound and 1/2

  • of course he will be smallest in class for a while... however it looks like he will be able to have a normal life and move on from this.

Unbelievable 0.001% chance of him surviving. :D

  • this gives me hope, the little girl i babysit's mom was pregnant and gave birth to her baby boy 2 1/2 months early or 10 weeks early, he weighs 1.5 pounds

  • Yay!! So glad he's at a healthy weight!! Way to go little...Calvin? or Kevin?? I couldn't hear the name very clearly...Anyway, way to go little buddy! :)

  • wow i weighed 1 pound thats so amazing

  • mother's love.. <3

  • doctors sometimes say stuffs that they shouldn't ........you could say the baby have very little chance but never say that the baby won't make it like you God.

  • a ring can fit on the baby's arm? OMG she is so small and cute!!

  • them moms hot!

  • Congrats!! I have former 24 week twins. In fact we were just 2 hours into our 24th week. Jenna weighed 1lb 4 ounces and Blake weighed 1lb 3ounces. It IS possible. They spent just over 4 months in the NICU. Their stat was challenging having had surgeries, blood transfusions and being on ventilators. They are at home now and are healthy. They are 10 pounds each.

  • i weighed 1 pound and 12 ozes

  • if any of you bothered to think you would realise that the gestational period is in fact 10 months all up, if it were 9 it woulfd be 36 weeks, so it is very possible for a baby born 4 months early to survive, 4 months is in moth 24 weeks, since do your maths.... 40 minus 16 is 24 weeks, before commenting really do your research

  • Awe...

  • If you have never experienced the NICU then please don't post what you think is true. My son was next to 23 weekers. It does happen. My son was born at 26 weeks and is doing wonderfully.

  • hi i also have a prem baby who will be two on sunday she was born at 24 weeks and wieghed 1lb 4 oz they are all miricles while we were in hospital we saw babys that were born at 22 and 23 weeks gestation and survived they are incredable x

  • my teachr had primi babys and her ring culd go up all the way to their thies..and lived!! they are my fav lil babys they r now 4

  • u never no so dont be stupid miracles happen every day wso just shut up

  • I know someone who was born 4 months early, he was so small that he could litterally fit in the palm of your hand

  • 4 months early... so at 5 months? 20 Weeks? I don't think it'd have been that early, no baby has ever survived being born that early.

  • no, it might have been 3 months

  • I agree. Many survive.

  • hes sooo cute

  • wow that wrist thing with the mums ring is incredible

  • cute sweet pie he he

  • SoO CUTE!!

  • You are so incredibly blessed. Our son, Ethan was born right at the same age (a little over 23 weeks) and was over a pound as well - unfortunately he did not make it. I am to thankful that your baby boy is doing so well!!!

  • cutie

  • im a preemie. i was 1pound 4 oz and i was 5 mnths premature. im 14 now. i hope he lives a happy and healthy life!! p.s. he is sooo cute!!

  • hey i was a preme twin i was 1 pound 2 ounces and i was 3 mnths pre mature which is really bad for twins me and mi bro weighed 2pnds 16 ounces together now i will be 17 in 2 weeks i had lots of problems wit me tubes all over mi body i was in the hospital 8 months after i was born!!

  • QTpiies, you can't have been born 5 months premature.

There are 9 months of gestation. 24 weeks is generally seen as the earliest a baby can survive out of the womb... so somehow I doubt you were born at 4 or even 5 months of gestation.

  • Don't be a moron, Aaron. An entire pregnancy lasts 40 weeks; a baby born at just 2 months (8 weeks) would be an embryo just bigger than a grape. Go back to school.

  • moron? bit harsh!!! twins develope twice as fast as a normal embryo. only passing on what i was told...and to fair they were tiny!!! born @ 3pound between them.

  • What you were told was obviously bullcrap. Twice as fast? Ha. Rubbish. Twins are nearly always smaller than single babies, identical twins especially due to the fact that they share a placenta.

Don't pass off things you've been 'told' as fact. Whoever told you that obviously has a miniscule IQ or something missing in their head.

  • twins and singletons develop at EXACTLY the same rate, they may be smaller in size, that is as far as the differance in development goes.

  • Yes, I know that twins and singletons have the same rate of development, but multiples are nearly always smaller; lack of space, twin-to-twin transfusion, and shorter gestational period due to scheduled c-sections are usually the reason.

  • i know that the parents' hearts were breaking watching him in the incubator. My trips were in one and when it was time for me to be discharged from hospital, i had to leave them there in NICU and it broke my heart everytime i had to leave for the night. I pray for all babies and their families who need a miracle even though they are miracles themselves. God Bless

  • i understand what your saying my daughter stayed in the nicu for 16 days it was hard to leave her there i wanted to bring her home but i knew it was the best thing for her and well now shes home and shes going to be 4 yrs old in 3 mos
